Something I've always wondered...

Do you know any Christians that refuse to get a Social Security number, because they think it's the mark of the beast?

Is it even possible to refuse to get one?

Are there any valid arguments you've heard for being against getting a Social Security number?

My SS card, issued in 1964, implicitly states on "not to be used for identification" on the face.

Yet another example of FedGov moving goalposts and changing reneging on previous promises But yet we're supposed to trust the Govt.. I'll trust govt., at any level, about 25 years after my death, maybe.

Maybe. But I always figured it would be some sort of number (S/S maybe) driven universally accepted (or mandated) ID System. An easily accessible system that would hold all of your medical, financial, social information, including your criminal record, or lack thereof. The system could then be easily expanded to include your political party affiliation.

You know something like an implantable microchip. You finish buying your groceries, you flash your hand under this reader.....and BINGO! You make your doctor visit, whereupon you flash your hand under this reader, submit your thumbprint, and your physician has instant access to your medical records. When you finish you simply flash your hand to pay for your doctor's visit, and schedule your next visit. I can just see the libtard argument right now. Quick, easy, no trees were sacrificed, and more important a very small carbon footprint.

The Mark of the Beast.

No, I think it will be some sort of QR code that will replace the SS#, so that it can be implemented in all nations.

Christians need to stop worrying about the mark… or the beast… or 666… or rapture…

It’s time for Christians to preach the gospel that is Jesus’ love.

I don’t think that means we shouldn’t see the signs…. But how many fire and brimstone preachers over the last 50 years have wasted time and money preaching the end is near when they could have been teaching that Jesus is love and there is a peace and a joy in following him.

It's just a unique identifier. Virtually every database has one.

Real Christians aren’t concerned with this. They won’t be around to deal with it because they’ll be gone in the rapture.

This is the problem with the Church today. Christ didn’t preach love of everyone and everything . He stated implicitly he brought a sword. To divide father against son, brother against brother. That sword is the understanding that “you” are a sinful being and there is only one way to “redemption”. That’s through his sacrifice at the Cross.

Christ taught there is no good thing in you. Paul stated explicitly “oh wretched man that I am…I do what I do not will” (paraphrase). “For I am a bond slave to Jesus Christ”. Take up your cross daily. Seek Him first and his righteousness. Not “love and acceptance”. There is no Love with Acceptance with our current state for the true Christian. We love not the world or the things in it. For if we do, the love of the Father is not in us.

Let's just go by the old notion that created beings have been here about 10,000 years.

50Y / 10,000Y = 0.005Y

Hardly seems like a "waste" of time. Hardly seems like any actual use of time, at all.

It's still not supposed to be used as identification:

Read Revelation and what it says about the Mark. The implication is pretty clear that the Mark is willingly accepted as a sign of the worship of the Beast. I’m pretty sure it won’t be any secret Mark.

Revelation 14:9

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,”

Revelation 13:16

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:”

I wish I could upvote you a million times.
If preachers would preach "Jesus Love" and quit preaching hate, Church goers would become missionaries that would be difficult to criticize.

Many forms ask for ssn or tax id number.

I would guess many don't have one. I would guess about 200,000 a month crossing the rio grand don't have one and they are here to stay

tMotB will not be something we’re tricked into…it will be obvious as to what it is.

It will also happen after the rapture.

But what we’re seeing now is certainly laying the groundwork for and normalizing it.

I'm no Biblical scholar, but the beast and his mark could be an ideology such as communism, anti-Christian beliefs, or a belief system than man can be his own god, etc. The mark on the forehead could be an acceptance in thought or belief in the anti-Christian ideology, and the mark on the hand could represent one's actions to support that ideology.

Do you mean "explicitly states"?
