Also, you said we needed to be deporting thousands per day and according to reports that I posted earlier, when you combine self deportations and ICE formal deportations, you're right in that range

If you don't count border crossers turned back at the border (which shouldn't be counted), ICE deported about 350K in 2025. That's not going to get frick all done.

You may have missed my earlier post. Only taking the formal ICE deportation numbers into account for how many actual bodies are leaving the country is an incomplete metric. We have also had large numbers (in the thousands every day) of people who have self-deported. You have to take the totality of the actual number of warm bodies leaving the US to get an accurate picture.

That number is squishy and also doesn't reflect the productivity of ICE. If we were going to count on self-deportation as the principal means of removing Biden's 12 million illegals, we wouldn't have had to budget the tens of billions for this project.

What was ICE's spend in 2025? I know we doubled the number of ICE agents - all to deport 350K illegals. That's more than a little disappointing.

Not to the US Chamber of Commerce. They love cheap labor, legality not important.

You think ICE has quit working just because the media has pivoted to other bullshite? You realize high population sanctuary cities and blue states are resisting Trump every step of the way on this and not releasing undocumented prisoners etc, right? You realize leftist TDS psychos have organized systems to warn and hide illegals when ICE is in certain areas? You realize they are rioting and physically fighting with ICE, physically obstructing ICE agents and even violently attacking them? Then when ICE defends themselves and these fricking crazies get killed, the media and the entire left is spinning it as ICE agents just randomly murdering law abiding peaceful citizens? You realize the left is filing lawsuits left and right simply because the Trump admin and ICE is simply enforcing existing immigration law? You realize the SAME MFer that ran ICE and the deportation effort for Trump also ran it for Obama... The difference was, the Democrats and the left had no problem with it then. They didn't protest. They didn't obstruct the federal government and hide undocumented people or refuse to turn them over. They didn't organize ICE doxxing campaigns and elaborate systems of tracking ICE and tipping people off as to where they were... They didn't protest, riot, and get into physical confrontations with ICE agents... and the media wasn't calling Obama a Nazi and ICE the gestapo for simply working to enforce existing immigration law.

You fricking moron.

We're only worried about "criminal illegals" not the good illegals working as a roofer.. Just like he campaigned on. What a joke this term has been.

Oh yeah, more importantly we've got another war to fight in the Middle East, it's going to be great for America.

Yes, Obama counted those apprehended at the border as deported. This admin does not.

It's an interesting question. I don't know that the answer is what you were expecting. Obama's "deportations" entailed turnarounds at the border, a fair comparison with contrast border crossings during the previous administration with border crossings now.

However, in its first year the Trump administration formally deported about 650,000 illegals, with about 1.9 million self deportations. So yes, the policies of this administration have resulted in far more deportations than was the case in obama's first year.
