The "squad" shows how well the system our founders put in place works. The House of Representatives, like statehouses are supposed to represent "small block" voter interests. If enough Somalis live in a district and get active this is what happens. The good news is they are 0.92% of the votes in the house.
The press gives them an out sized platform but 4 votes out of 435 is not a meaningful position. To be fair they are twice as powerful vote wise as the Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus but about as meaningful in the grand scheme of things.

AOC will be out of Congress in 2 years.
Her district is likely being eliminated. She done pissed off the establishment Dems in NY who will draw new districts for the 2022 election cycle. NY should lose 2 Congressional districts.

She was homeless like three years ago. She ran a joke campaign in 2018 and let a documentary crew follow her. They were able to sell this to Netflix and her local fame jumped through the roof because she went around St. Louis twerking.
