The US Judicial system is controlled by the Left
This is just false. 6 of the 9 SCOTUS Justices were appointed by Republicans, and even the furthest left of them, John Roberts, has a conservative record. On the US Courts of Appeals, 48% were appointed by Republicans and 49% by Democrats. That is about to tip into majority Republican. For District Court Judges, 383 (56%) were appointed by Democrats and 252 (37%) by Republicans. This is the only level that leans Democrat, and it will lean Republican by the time Trump’s term ends.

It is terrifying that the kid grew up in a seemingly normal environment and was still able to be radicalized once he left for college
Yes, it is terrifying.

I’d be curious to learn who his teachers were and what classes he attended at UVU.
I know kinesiology majors that took a hard turn left during/after college. You aren’t getting indoctrinated in algebra. These impressionable kids are experiencing freedom for the first time and end up meeting new people, getting on these online chat rooms, joining groups, etc. it’s not as simple as taking a class and suddenly becoming a massive lib.

Universities have been ideological breeding grounds for decades now. I had to take one of those BS Humanities classes to satisfy a degree requirement. This was at UofL way back in 1995. One of the first things the instructor did, and shortly after reviewing the syllabus, was to go into a 30 min diatribe about white conservative males. I dropped that class and took a summer class as online course work wasn't quite a thing then.

He went to college.

Best friend growing up and in college went to grad school in NYC. Went from a stand up Christian to a raving libtard atheist in a couple years.
I'm teaching an apologetics course at my church right now because 60%-70% of young people who grew up in the church abandon the faith in college.
And most do so their first year in college.
And the number one reason given for doing so is that they say they have no intellectual basis for the faith. So when some pencil necked atheist professor who has an agenda starts shoveling specious arguments (that are easily debunked if you are educated on the subject, but that sound convincing if you're not) at them, they simply believe it without questioning it.
I'm sure it works the exact same way for politics.

The cognition of a child grows at a lightning pace from birth to about 6 years. Permanent memories start to form for about 4 to 6 year olds who then develop data and processing skills that will take them through life.
But the emotional maturity and final development of the brain itself really goes through a lot from puberty to about 22 for women and about 25 (in some cases) for men.
You won't experience changes like birth to 6 or puberty to early/mid-20s if you live to be a million.
This is where good habits can be formed. And this is often where addiction takes hold that can haunt a person for the rest of their days. And, this is often where mental illness appears and/or takes hold (particularly if combined with ill-advised indulgence/over indulgence in alcohol or other mind altering substances).
