I’ve noticed some people are trying to twist this into a “Protestant vs Catholic” debate.

That’s missing the point entirely.

This isn’t about Catholicism versus Protestantism.

This is about a Pope openly bowing in a mosque, showing deep reverence to Islam, while an Islamic crescent symbolically transforms into a sword above him.

This is about a Pope who appears to be honoring and submitting to Islam rather than defending the Christian faith he was chosen to lead.

That’s the real issue here, not some internal Christian squabble. It’s about the head of the Catholic Church publicly elevating Islam in a way that many faithful Christians find deeply concerning and incompatible with historic Christianity.

So yesh, RollTide1987 ... this is also about this Pope protesting with commies. He's got a lonnnnnng history of being anti-American .... at the very least.

Now you know that this pope was selected by men, and not elevated by God

So you're trying to tell me that God would disapprove of priests protesting a weapon of mass destruction while carrying around a sign that says, "Augustinians for peace," in Italian?

Cubbies completely big leagued me about this guy, played ignorant to his latest comments, and even claimed meh, whatever I’m not even interested….but she sides with him.

I couldn’t be more disappointed that she treated me that way. The farthest thing from discussing it in good faith.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor, scrooster. This isn't a real photograph. It's AI slop. The real event saw the pope enter a mosque and take his shoes off as per custom.

No, I'm telling you that future popeguy was rooting for the commies way back then. Because they already had WMD, and he was there to try to keep the US from having some too. Didnt he just recently say God doesnt take sides? Well, Leo seems to have always taken a side against the US
quote:

Pope Leo XIV

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs.

So your guy is a big fat hypocrite. You need to come to grips with that

How is communist Russia having nukes, and protesting the US having them, in any way, shape, or form PEACEFUL?

From what I understand the Mafia stated Italy would never be commie and that turned the tide. Apparently the communists thought better of getting into a war with the cosa nostra.

Good Catholic people need to take control of their church. I don’t think I’m wrong.

At the local level it's already happening. The Catholic Church has more young, conservative, traditional priests and congregations than ever before in my lifetime. Those priests will rise and take over.

Terrible.

Communism is responsible for hundreds of millions of deaths in the 20th century.

"but real communism has not been tried yet"

It was very heady times and the fact that there were so many American Communists that had gotten involved, it gave us an excuse to get involved from a diplomatic standpoint.

Ironic that one of them is now our Pope.

How come we never see pictures of these people protesting USSR nuclear weapon policies? They always seem to put the omnibus on the USA to "do the right thing."

I'm glad I'm not Catholic. I can simply call this dude what he is, namely a Globalist puppet, and let it go at that.

Good Catholics need to take back their religion. It's been hijacked (and I don't think it's going to be easy to reclaim it).
