I really don't understand how a reasonable person could still hold this position (not talking about new SoS because he's probably on the authoritarian spectrum, but rather your run of the mill American).

Let’s all be kept in the dark about secret spying, mass data collection and omnipresent lying by national security officials while simultaneously claiming to be for small and limited government.

By the letter of the law, what Snowden did was treason. That said, it needed to be done and as far as I’m concerned was a net benefit to our country and society as a whole.
