My point is that someone who might be casing to steal something would not actually steal something and carry it on his person if he thought he had been made and was being pursued and his movements were being tracked.
That was in response to “why were no stolen items found?”
What would anyone with an IQ over 85 do? If it were me, I would bug out of the area and attempt to appear like I was doing something normal because I would expect the cops to be rolling up any minute. I would want them to see me jogging at a normal pace. I would use that as my reasonable explanation once questioned.
My gut tells me that the guy was snooping around and was aware that he drew attention. Once he knew that he had been made, he actres exactly as I would have. Get away from the area and look like I am engaging in a normal activity. The father/son hillbilly duo determined they were going to insure that he didn’t vanish before the cops arrived. They thought they were going to box him in and citizen arrest him at gunpoint. The murdered kid was in a panic mode as he was trying to evade the duo. In a split second, he went into fight or flight mode when they barricaded him. The duo never expected him to fight. They thought that he would stop and be held at gunpoint until the cops arrived. A gross miscalculation. The father saw his son suddenly in a fight for life and acted to protect his son. I can almost guarantee this is what will come out.
Nonetheless, it is either murder or manslaughter. It was not driven by racism but by shortsightedness and an abundance of rash thinking where the duo did not think through the potential reaction of the deceased.

I didn't see that video. You can make assumptions in that video but no one can watch the 30 seconds I saw and come to any conclusion about what happened, how it started or how the scuffle with the gun began.
Are the guys bad guys and the jogger a good guy. Maybe, maybe not. The video does not answer any of those questions. To say it does it just stirring up hype.

Where is the stolen stuff?
I don't believe they are saying he was in process of committing a burglary. Aren't they claiming they believe he was the man burglarizing the area? Regardless, they used piss-poor judgement and as a result a man is dead. The son at least is gonna go down for aggravated manslaughter. The dad maybe a lesser charge since he did not pull a weapon.

Doesn’t he have a gun pulled when he hops out of the bed of the truck?

Well, I’ll add that no burglary was reported that day.
Well that definitely proves no burglary took place as they are always reported instantly.

Nothing in that video (albeit brief) demonstrates the need to use deadly force to detain him. Nothing.

Actually I don't recall. I was focused on the son and the shotgun. Regardless he didn't fire his weapon. For all we know he may have been yelling at his son, "don't shoot." Not likely, but that'd be my story.
