Where's the fricking line then? I wouldn't wimp out of a junior college talent show if I'd committed to it. But I'm supposed to be OK with someone flying over to Tokyo on donated money, waving a flag, and then just wimping out on live TV?
WTF happened to global warming? Does moving her black arse to the other side of the globe not release hydrocarbons? Would she feel better if we burned up a few more tons of dinosaur? Is it like driving a baby around to put it to sleep?

IMO, when you can’t be proud and grateful for what this country has given you, you don’t deserve to be rewarded for it, especially when America is paying the bill for you to represent them on a world stage. I say find your own way back home.

People tossing out medal counts need to realize that not all of these events are created equally. History, tradition, etc. means that certain things just mean more on the national and international stage.
I'm happy that some bawette managed to shoot a few more skeet with a shotgun than was was expected. But that's not the same thing as Usain Bolt dominating the men's 100 even if the medals look the same and count the same in the standings.
Certain events matter more for our national pride and Olympic tradition - and women's team gymnastics is one of them. Biles was billed as the biggest star of these Olympics and this was her event and moment to shine - and she botched it in about as bad a way as possible. And coming on the heels of some major swimming disappointments, the softball loss and Men's basketball tripping over themselves, this is not a good start for Team USA, regardless of the overall medal count.

Yes people are coddled too much and too self absorbed but whoever is president ain’t gonna change that.
