Shreveport's mayor's race will be determined by white voters

Adrian Perkins and Ollie Tyler, both black left wing Dems are in the run off. But the No. 3 and 4 finishers were white republicans. So, their voters will choose.
My bet would be Perkins. He's smart while Tyler is borderline retarded. Crime will continue to drive people out of the city. My favorite quote from Tyler "There are other big cities with more crime than us."

Tyler is also linked to Cedric Glover. Although I haven't heard his opinion lately on this race.

I believe Glover is behind Perkins. There's some bad blood that's developed between Glover and Tyler since her first election. The assumption last year was that he was going to run for Mayor again but ultimately decided not to.
The run off comes down to
A) Where Steven Jackson's votes go
B) Who takes the Taliferro/Savage voters
Turnout is of course going to be lower and there's going to be some white voters who don't even participate. I don't care to vote for either one of them so I'm not sure I'll bother. But I don't discount a rebellion vote against Tyler by people fed up with crime. Perkins wins this one.

Well, that begs the question. Will Perkins do anything about crime? The Shreveport police dept. is understaffed, underpaid, the DA's office is not serious about crime, and the cops are told not to do car chases.
