At the least people should have to prove they are citizens and pass a standard test on American history. Not the lib version of history but the John fricking Wayne version.

Good thought, but that ain't going nowhere!

No, it's not a good thought. It's a terrible thought. It's the voting equivalent of two weeks to flatten the curve. Once you open that door of deciding who can vote and who can't based on anything as subjective as "contributer to society" you will never get it shut. You'll end up with basically some algortithic version of a voting credit rating being presided over by government officials which is the last thing you want to happen to voting rights.

Do you see voting as a privilege, or, as a right that is guaranteed by the constitution?
maybe you should have to have a HS diploma... a bachelors degree and you get two votes. A graduate degree or PH. D and you get 3

This is fricking dumb. I know lots of people withing in the petrochemical industry without a HS diploma who put in the time and pay their fair share. Some contribute more to paying taxes than some PhDs.

Property taxes is one thing, but owning land is a bit more complicated. Because what about people with mortgages on their property, ya know? They don't own the property free and clear, but as you mentioned they certainly still pay property taxes on it.
