Presumably the FBI already knows who contacted them and filed the complaint. That doesn't require an investigation.

That's a drop in the bucket compared for their organization but it would be a start.

The cost of further dividing the country on racial issues can't really be quantified.

absolutely. there is no way i believe that a bunch of NASCAR mechanics and personel dont know the difference between a Noose and a garage door pulley.

this is at LEAST partially intentional

All the news is still claiming it was a noose.

Still no picture of said noose but the prog news doesn’t need facts any longer.

No shite

But they might now know whether or not this event was intentionally manufactured

That is worth looking into based on what we know

In my experience the killer doesn’t usually plant the murder weapon, but then again I don’t have FBI training.

Is there any doubt that it was clearly manufactured? Or at least purposefully elevated by NASCAR and/or whoever "found" the rope.

I guess I just don't understand what the point of an investigation would be. Everyone already knows the truth---NASCAR, DoJ, the media, all of them ran with it out of pure glee that something racist had occurred. There won't be any repercussions to it, as annoying as that is.

Whoever started this ordeal isn't going to have an email from NASCAR's CEO outlining the plan. Even if that did exist, the FBI isn't going to waste its time on this.
Perhaps some individual will be outed as being responsible, but then all of the institutional entities will simply melt away behind "sources told us this we just reported it", and "we take all racism seriously until proven otherwise".

The fact that you can't tell me which one it was shows that we really don't know

And there is a difference between "finding" something and making it a big deal and completely manufacturing the event.

If it can be absolutely proven that there was a plan in place by NASCAR to fabricate this event then there should be consequences. At the very least they should take a huge PR hit from it. The truth should come out. And an investigation would help that truth come to surface.

Not sure why you're insisting on being intentionally stupid about this.
