We do. My kids will know that evangelical socialists are not to be trusted.

Ahhh...but did they accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior? Were they baptised?

No.

It was a totally different system... If it was/is so great, why is it pretty much totally fallen apart? The answer is their system was destroyed...

Good for you but you are talking specifically about your family... I know plenty of people that are not Christians that are good and decent people...

What you are conflating and failing to acknowledge is the walk away from morality in this country, which Christianity formed a very big basis for, is why we see many of the problems we are seeing today...

Come on. Don't be absurd. Baptists, Lutherans, Catholics, etc all differ in what it takes, baptism for instance.

You still haven't answered my question.

I don't care what Billy Graham, Pope Francis or Chester Cheetah says about salvation. I go back to the Book, always.

Not a leftist, nor do I hate anyone. You don't have to be a believer to be a moral, ethical person.

Wait, someone actually believes this?

The "noble savage" myth still lives.

American men abandoning their father and husband responsibilities is the issue. Not whether or not they go to church on Sundays and whether or not they say grace at the table.

Their system was child rape and incest.

natives didn't raise their kids, the uncle/aunt did in the Northwest. Youre not an adult til youre almost 40.

Its so dysfunctional, it never did work.

But where did those ideas come from?

Here's 100 of them to get you started

Well then by that premise, a lot of the so called Christians that have followed men and not the Bible are misled?

I'm not quoting the Bible. I'm talking about interpretions of the Bible and what is right or wrong being portrayed as the only moral way to live. Christians can't even agree on that.

Christianity has had 2000 years to determine what the "requirements" to get into heaven are, what is or isn't a sin, what it takes to be forgiven of a sin and whether or not you are born with original sin.

And they can't come to a consensus.

Interesting but it has nothing to do with what I posted. Is the Muslim child acting morally when he obeys the teaching of his father? According to your rules he is.

Hell no. I am surrounded by natives today and they suffer the lack of fathers being men more than most.

No. My point is that the idea of male leadership as the "head" of the household, and therefore the very core concept of ORDER as it pertains to the idea of family, has an origin.

God -> Man -> Woman -> Animals

It's written in Genesis, which also also happens to to be the very first book of the Bible.

Mine.

And as far as the Muslim thing goes, of course it's wrong by our standards. They are "ruled" by different religious beliefs than Christians.

And that furthers my point that religions make their interpretations of right and wrong and can quite often be glaringly ridiculous.

But just like the communists and their optimism...your religion got it right this time. All of the other ones were flawed.

As a side note, I'd wager that half of the teen pregnancies here in Oklahoma occur at Falls Creek, a Baptist Church Camp at Turner Falls, OK.

Have fun gentlemen. I've got to go cut hay now.
