Our Sunday morning McDonald's treat just got shockingly more expensive. As of this morning's receipt, our local store charges $4 for an egg McMuffin and $5 for a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Increase of at least $1 per item.

We live in a high tax, bluer than blue county that is about half way to the $15 an hour minimum wage goal. Currently $12.25.

We have just opted out of any further purchases from McD. Moronic economic decisions made by fools elected by imbeciles have consequences.

Wait till the dumbasses at the counter lose their jobs when McD puts in an automated ordering system.

I just can't wait. Of course, in this county, there will be pussy hat wearers with placards right outside protesting the results of their own idiocy.

These type of practices only hurt the middle income and people who draw SS.

Maybe now McDonald’s will have enough money to fix the ice cream machine

They also hurt the poor people who make minimum wage.

I'd say the peeps who make minimum wage make out even. It's the peeps who don't who make out bad.

A nasty arse combo meal from mcdonalds is the same price as a delicious meal from chikfila and you trying to blame $12/hour wages?

I agree. It is a wash for those making minimum wage, but hurts everyone making more.

Exactly...who is John Galt. Socialists dont want to own the companies, they just want to control them, so when they fail you can blame the company not the fools who implemented the policies.

Or less.

There are peeps who rely on SS and it only hurts them, since the COL doesn't reflect normal price of goods in life.

This is absolutely not true.

Min wage people will get less hours, less benefits, and MORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES.

The hourly rate increase they get will be a smaller percentage then the overall cost of living increase. Because remember, they will still be taking home the same relative amount of money (reduced hours of work).....yet everything now costs more.

THE ONLY WAY to help min wage workers --- is to get them off of min wage. Develop skills, experience and knowledge. Stick with a job for more then 1 year.... PRESTO -- you are no longer making min wage.

Adults on min wage, supporting a family --- whose fault is that exactly?

I was talking about even at best for min wage employees. Yes, it could also be worse for them.

Still a sore spot for peeps who draw SS. It does nothing for them, but make it worse.

I’ve already seen some of these kiosks to order at. Easy and less likely to screw up your order than the mensas that work at McDonalds.

They are still in transition, though, because there were several employees standing around twiddling their thumbs wondering what to do.

In this line of reasoning.. who the frick would be working at mcdonalds?

16-22 year old kids? Are there enough of them who would show up to work to do a shitty arse job to keep fast food chains open?

It's not like they don't want a better job. I worked at a wendys fulltime in college for three months and most of my coworkers were just trying to put food on the table while they worked on an associates degree or searched for a better job that would never come. Working in fast food doesn't exactly build up a resume or skillset. It's low skill work but is also exhausting.

it hurts anybody especially those raising families. no one, no matter how wealthy should pay the equivalent of going to a restaurant for fast food.

It will never happen fully like that since 75% of the customers are too stupid to use the kiosk. I have personally, and unfortunately, been behind many in that line.

Yeah. Their definitely hasn't been enough, "you're not going to keep doing the shitty work you were doing for more money" talk.

They have to be worth $15/hr.

Inflation is real.

You can't create wealth by a magic wand.

Nothing extra was created of wroth to justify increasing minimum wage. It is a fallacy the Democrats know too well, but pander to the dumb asses clamoring for it.

People who make minimum wage definitely benefit from minimum wage increases. Consumer prices usually rise considerably slower than their wages do.
