of American History. Surely they can't frick this up too.

Well we know what happened to Budlight and Cracker Barrel. Why not the first Woman Director of the Smithsonian Museum of American History also? She felt like the Museum needed to dig down more into the Social injustices of our Countries past. Here's the article and she checks all the boxes. Education from all the California leftist Universities

Director of Natural History BIO

quote:

Anthea M. Hartig is the Elizabeth MacMillan Director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and the first woman to hold the position since the museum opened in 1964. Hartig oversees 200 employees, a budget of over $50 million and a collection that includes 1.7 million objects and more than three shelf-miles of archives. She officially began her tenure Feb. 18, 2019.

Through its incomparable collections, rigorous research and dynamic public outreach, the National Museum of American History seeks to empower people to create a just and compassionate future by exploring, preserving and sharing the complexity of the nation’s past. Hartig is currently leading a vibrant new strategic plan to take the museum through the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026 and beyond. It challenges the museum to be the most accessible, inclusive, relevant and sustainable public history institution.

An award-winning public historian and cultural heritage expert, Hartig is the president of the Organization of American Historians. Prior to joining the Smithsonian, she served as the executive director and CEO of the California Historical Society in San Francisco. Hartig is a third-generation native of Southern California, where she grew up in the greater Pomona Valley. She earned her doctorate and master’s degrees in history at the University of California, Riverside, her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and studied as an undergraduate and graduate student at the College of William and Mary.

Later in her presentation, Hartig asserted that the "United States’ long and violent racial history continues to be present in our reckoning, if you will."

She said that "redress in the form of reparation, of course, goes beyond acknowledgement of wrongdoing; it should leverage responsibility, it should think about the act of correction, as we pursue restorative justice and, for us [on the call], restorative justice through history."

……An award-winning public historian and cultural heritage expert……

The article pretty much tells you what you are getting with this Director. Her use of words like “independent” and phrases like “come to their own conclusions” after she does all she can to point people to the conclusions she aligns with…..all intentional and you can’t attack her (in her mind) as her side can’t be questioned.

Oh yes. This makes sooo much sense.

Put somebody who is indoctrinated in re-writing history in charge of a place of historical recording.

She should step aside to let a LGBTQ black lady run it.

They hate America but here they are living that DEI lifestyle. I think we need to change things. Hey Budlight the #2 beer in the world lets bring in a tranny and make it better. Now hey its America the best country in the world but look what they did to the brown people. Those white devils need to be held accountable

This is where their perceived moral superiority comes into play.

They are better people than we are and we are bigots for even asking questions

Will someone explain what she thinks would be corrected here? There are no humans on earth that were American slaves. We are what five generations removed from that so there are also no humans on earth that were American slave owners. Is she righting some mythical historic balance or something? You want to have modern people contribute vast sums of wealth to people who've done nothing to earn it and that's going to balance the cosmic injustice of it all?

So stupid. Absolute toddler-think.

If we exiled everyone that uses the word 'inclusive' in a political context, the problem would solve itself.
