Why exactly is this a 'shock poll?"

fwiw, it should be 'shocking poll' and it's not shocking at all!

Originally it meant something that showed a quick turnaround from something else

so if a poll had showed Alread was closing and this one showed Ted with a huge lead they call it a shock poll to get attention

Now the term has become diluted and it gets used not in conference calls but on online posts but that's where the term originated or how it was used

I thought a shock pole was when someone got a boner looking at their hot cousin.

This right here. Most transplants to Texas from California are republican refugees.

Texas last 3 elections

2012 - R+16
2016 - R+9
2020 - R+6

With the polling coming out in Texas recently, not a month old, he might win it by 3-4. I think Texas might flip in 2028 or 2032. When that happens the GOP won’t ever win another election.

The gap is closing but a lot of that is Republicans continue to run the numbers and see that they're not really in jeopardy of losing so they make a minimal investment

26 There's going to be a reshuffling of the deck chairs governors race, lieutenant governors race, attorney generals race all statewide offices plus Cornyns Senate seat there's going to be upward movements and forced retirements
out of that there's going to be an infusion of cash and new talent that judging on just the raw data and the numbers republicans will be able to get the advantage back up around 8-10 percent

It's not only about how much money is spent but it is how and where it is spent in Republicans for the past decade-plus all the big-name consultants and media buyers wanted to keep the money amongst themselves

in 26 with all the challenges going on you're going to see that kind of get spread out some and that will inject a little life into the locals

When Trump wins he will pass legislation for voter integrity. Must show ID, no mail in ballots unless disabled. With this Democrats will never win another election

10th amendment

A conservative
Especially a constitutional conservative does not want federal oversight of elections

Well, we have Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. If you exclude the big cities its somewhere like 80-20 Trump.

I'm not. Some of the most liberal/progressive people I have met and know are from Texas. I will get a lot of downvotes for saying that.

That's BS. Arizona does not require proof of citizenship for Federal elections. The Republic has failed us. It's time we turn over full authority to the only man who can save us. Emperor Trump

finally u admit it!!!!

10th Amendment leaves the running of the elections to the states

how they do that is their business

You start trying to control how politics are done from DC and DC only
you're inviting totalitarianism

Incorrect. States that allow non citizens to vote are no longer states of the Republic. When corruption threatens the Republic, those states that can't maintain the laws will cease to control them. "Protect against all enemies foreign and domestic"

See the proper way to handle this would be for a citizen of Arizona to sue the state of Arizona supported by Americans that values the US Constitution for these flaws and how they manage elections and then for the state of Arizona to make the correction
not to have the federal government come in and force it

because once you let the camel nose into the tent you can't stop them from coming in and making itself at home

but you probably took a world history course and know of examples where other nations faced similar challenges either stayed the course of their respective establishing documents or broke their nation
I won't be around when it happens I'm just warning

This has already been tried. Arizona's supreme court overulled 4-3 that you needed proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. As you have learned these past 4 years the judicial system is a complete joke in this country. "You have a Republic for as long as you can keep it" It's gone, to much corruption. You are whistling past the graveyard
