This will sadden all the DEQ employees praying every night that Trump has a spot for their boss.

Don Dubuc interviewed her when she first took the position with LDW.
It was pretty clear she was a career politician from the start.

No doubt. That was a pretty tough hand she was dealt.

It's crazy how much this board hated her when she got the LDWF job. Sure, she was from that godforsaken land known as the pnw but she had/has straight tomboy, loves to gen in the thick, kickass energy.

The previous secretary was the best at the position.
Wasn’t he indicted for some kickback scheme? That aside, he still was a schill for commercial fishing interests. There won’t be a “best” until someone who is anti- pogie, anti- gill net, pro- sport fisher installed in that position who represents the interest over the multitude of recreational outdoorsmen over commercial fishing interests. And I include shrimpers and oyster fishermen who thwart conservation efforts in that commercial group.

This is a DEI hire.
She may have filled a DEI requirement, but her hiring was purely cronyism or political patronage. This is the epitome of being given political appointments in an effort to groom that person for other positions. Her LDWF gig was a complete head scratcher from any other perspective.

Maybe the position will be more than a political internship this time around… or… maybe not
Jeff Landry will appoint a friend, family member, or donor. I can’t think of any time in recent memory when LDWF commissioner was anything other than a political reward.

She is not even 30 years old
This job involves handling tough people
I personally want a man for this job
Can Homan work for a young female?
That dude is an Alpha of Alphas.

I'm sure she's a very nice young lady.

Not the original appointed by Edwards, maybe that’s why all the downvotes. I’m talking about the guy right before Sheehan. Was widely loved by the employees and agents all over the state.
