Probably right. They’d call it the “Free money for virtuous justice act” and everyone would vote yes!
The average person doesn't connect recession or inflation with monetary policy. Its virtually impossible to have a functioning economy when those who put people in power have no clue what they are doing.
Politics as a popularity contest is at odds with functioning government. Functioning govt requires unpopular actions.

A quarter million posts about you?
ETA: You're no Rex. Mildly entertaining but too pedantic to really shine, lol.

Read this thread as a perfect example.
I posted NOTHING about or TO him. He jumps into the discussion and calls me autistic. It is his modus operandi.

His social condition leads him to believe hes the center of the universe.
Have you ever debated a 14 year old girl? It feels alot like discussing something with Hank. When he gets behind he just says youre stalking him and tries to make you the enemy. Like women do.

How do y’all even hear about what Sharpton says? No one pays attention to his comments except right wingers. If right wingers didn’t amplify Sharpton, he would have long been forgotten.

Not on purpose.
It's why I used "haughty" a page or two back.
Almost exclusively a female trait, IMO.

Ignorance or lie?
Sharpton is a very wealthy man with his pockets full of progressive money.

Really?
The MSM keep giving him jobs and guest appearances.
Gotta' know your audience, I guess!

Sure, Groomer
All of his MSNBC viewers are right wingers

He says outrageous things, and (like Pavlov's pups) the Far Right obliges by providing the outrage that he was seeking.
He gets money by the bucketful, BECAUSE he brings an audience ... mostly from the Right. The Brawley hoax was a stroke of career genius. It took him from "unknown street preacher" to "national figure" overnight, mostly on the strength of the REACTION to him.
The problem is that he must continue the outrage to remain in the spotlight. 35 years later, he is still delivering on that.

This is what we're left with on the PB.
We should send out a search party to get Rex back in here.
This group of grooming loons are amateurs.
ETA: not you, bigmuff

If this is accurate, and I'm not questioning that it isn't, neighbors should be made aware.
For their own personal safety.

Absolutely true. Both are at perpetual war with this mythical "far right."

Maybe its been said already...
We elect our Representatives through a democratic process. That's the ONLY similarity of Democracy vs Republic.
PLEASE stop spewing the indoctrinated, public school definitions of Democracy. A Democracy is MOB RULES a Republic protects the rights of individuals.
How many times do we find the word Democracy in the US Constitution??
Article IV Section 4 does state "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government"
You won't find the word Democracy.
So a Republic is not a Democracy, it is the exact opposite except for the fact that the people elect representatives.
The definition of the word Democracy has been subverted by... well communists to put it bluntly. Think brainwashing.
Start using the right vocabulary and admit that you were part of the indoctrinated and then you can move past it.
