Serious question about Kamala Harris and the border

Why is she so reluctant to go to the border? She hates answering questions about it. That totally embarrassing interview with Lester Holt was absurd. I can’t believe Biden wouldn’t be thoroughly pissed off and order her to get her arse down there!
It’s like she thinks something really bad will happen if she goes down there. It’s political suicide the way she’s acting about this and it makes ZERO sense. The President of the United States asks you to be in charge of the border and you don’t go?!
Is she just a total fricking idiot? Seriously…why won’t she go?

It would draw an even bigger spotlight to their problem and they’d have to find a detention facility that isn’t completely overrun , which will be tough to do as well .

Bc then they will see that there is a crisis at the border and will have to admit that their policies aren’t working and Trump’s were. They would have to admit Trump was right.

She hasn't been to Mars either but I'm all for a one way trip for her.

#1. They don't want to secure the border they want open borders. They want as many Illegal Immigrants here as possible.

Maybe go see for yourself and maybe talk to people on the ground there and see what can be done to help.

Because if she sees it with her own eyes she can't blame someone else later. Imagine her being able to blame some staffer for not conveying the severity of the situation. If she goes, she removes the ability to throw someone else under the bus.
