without asking GOP leadership.

quote:

Hope they have Maalox and Pepto-Bismol on hand when President Donald Trump visits Capitol Hill to meet with Senate Republicans over lunch.

Senate GOP Steering Committee Chairman and Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., invited Trump for the luncheon Wednesday. Some Senate Republicans may wonder if they’re the ones on the menu. Both Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and John Cornyn, R-Texas, are out after the president refused to endorse them and they lost their primaries. Trump has also sparred with Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., exasperated that he can’t execute his legislative agenda.

Scott is a close ally of the president. He lost to Thune and Cornyn in the race to become majority leader in late 2024. In fact, Scott didn’t even request a blessing from the top Senate GOP leadership team to invite the president.

The writing is on the wall for Thune is SAVE Act does not pass. When it does, I pray he is still removed from leadership.

Should be entertaining.

BTW did the blue states and was it NC rescind their invitations to the fair set up?

It's 250 years, each State is to have a set up tent. Those States not showing can frick off and ask someone else the next time they need funding..

I don’t see the Save Act passing. Holding up other legislation makes it more likely it doesn’t pass. Senators expect to outlast Trump.

It's a big Pandora's Box event if he does, but what Thune and others fail to accept is whether he does or doesn't, the next Communist majority most certainly will and the country will never recover from it if the Communists do it first. This is the time for a preemptive strike at the heart of the Dems power; illegal voting, or manipulation of the results.

Apparently Trump and Cassidy-the-Cuck had a go.

I wonder how that 'go' went.

Trump and Cassidy got into a shouting match.

quote:

When Trump finally came before senators on Wednesday, Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La. — who recently lost his primary to a Trump-backed challenger — confronted the president over the Iran Memorandum of Understanding, according to a source familiar with the conversation. Cassidy began “yelling” at the president.

Cassidy told reporters the interaction started when Trump asked the room why anyone would vote for the Iran war powers resolution. Cassidy said he asked Trump if he really wanted the answer. Trump responded that he did.

It went off the rails from there.

According to two sources, Trump eventually told Cassidy to sit down, but Cassidy refused. He raised his voice even higher. Trump responded by calling Cassidy a “lunatic.” Cassidy referred to Trump as “brother,” prompting Trump to reply that he wasn’t his “brother.”

Eventually, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., tried to deescalate the situation, and other senators quietly encouraged Cassidy to sit down.

After the meeting, however, Cassidy showed no signs of backing down.

“I make no apologies for standing up to the president, if you will, trying to demand that more information be shared with the Senate and more information be shared with the American people,” he told reporters. “I make no apologies for that.”

“And if someone tries to bully me into not asking that question, I’m not going to accept that either,” Cassidy said. “I am sticking up for the American people, even if I’m speaking to the president.”

It’s amazing how once they get voted out we see what a bitch Cassidy and Cornyn really are. That’s why they are going home, we are tired of their bitch asses not representing the people that sent them there.
