Senate Votes 55-45 to Set Aside Rand Paul’s Point of Order That Impeachment Unconstitution

On Tuesday Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) raised a point of order that the impeachment of private citizen Donald Trump is unconstitutional.
Democrat Majority Leader Chuck Schumer then moved to table or kill Paul’s point of order. Schumer only needed a simple majority vote to set Paul’s point of order aside.
Guess who:
Five GOP senators vote with Dems, rejecting Sen Paul’s argument that impeachment trial is unconstitutional:
Collins
Murkowski
Romney
Sasse
Toomey

They all have to be removed.

Murkowski is gone and likely so is Reek. Time to find a candidate to go after Sasse and Toomey.

I so have not followed this impeachment shitshow. Now that the Rs are on record saying that they will basically vote to acquit bc this trial is unconstitutional- do the Democrats and Romney (but I repeat myself) actually move forward??

It is unconstitutional and dumb. Let's impeach and remove Woodrow Wilson from office. If you look at it, like Rand said in a speech earlier it is insane. Plus Trump said to go fight, no other politician has ever uttered those words. No Maxine has said much worse.
