Republican Sen. Ron Johnson suggested Sen. John McCain's recently diagnosed brain tumor may have played a role in his deciding "no" vote against skinny repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

Johnson, speaking last week to AM560 "Chicago's Morning Answer," per CNN's KFILE:

"We did get a call from Paul [Ryan] and he assured us that skinny repeal…would have to go to conference. Again, I'm not gonna speak for John McCain — he has a brain tumor right now — that vote occurred at 1:30 in the morning, some of that might have factored in."

More from Johnson: "Again, I-I-I don't know exactly what — we really thought — and again I don't want speak for any senator. I really thought John was going to vote yes to send that to conference at 10:30 at night. By about 1, 1:30, he voted no. So you have talk to John in terms what was on his mind."

Think back: McCain and Johnson both took part in a press conference — along with Sen. Lindsey Graham — hours before the skinny repeal vote where they refused to vote for the bill without clear assurance from the House that it wouldn't become law.

McCain's response to Johnson's quote: "It is bizarre and deeply unfortunate that Senator Johnson would question the judgment of a colleague and friend. Senator McCain has been very open and clear about the reasons for his vote."

A statement from Johnson: "I'm disappointed I didn't more eloquently express my sympathy for what Sen. McCain is going through. I have nothing but respect for him and the vote came at the end of a long day for everyone."

There was gasping in the room. All of these thiefs in DC know if they got the votes before they take it to the floor.

McCain lied and then went all neverTrumpy like a dickhead. Just like he showboated and caused a ACC fire.

If Johnson is correct, then McCain has been growing this tumor for decades.

Or perhaps he was born with a tumor instead of a fully functioning brain?

What's hilarious is that all the Dems and MSM would be speculating the same exact thing had he voted Yes to the Skinny Repeal

Their obviously fake self righteousness about this just makes me despise the Dems even more

. . . "Senator McCain has been very open and clear about the reasons for his vote." So Forrestal John choses to simply lie as his final political legacy. Appropriate.

Do we really need a reason for why McCain is an obstructionist?

McCain did the same thing on the methane vote. Pence was there and everyone was assured that the vote was a lock. Then at the last second McCain changed his vote to "No" without telling anyone. He has put his pettiness ahead of country and party.

McCain is a career politician and an establishment whore. That's why he no-voted. He didn't need a brain tumor to be shitty at his job.

I want to know why a terminal illness that results in mental deterioration is not an immediate qualifier for a member of Congress to be removed from their station.

The fact that we are even debating whether his tumor is affecting his decision making is crazy. Either the tumor is effecting his judgement, or he knows he is looking death in the face and wants to try and frick with the President as much as he can before the Cancer consumes him.

Tl;dr - either the tumor is messing with his judgement, or he is spitefully trying to mess with Trump as much as possible before he dies. Either way he needs to be removed from office.

McCain is a double agent for the Left. That's what he is NOW.

Whether he served in that capacity in Vietnam is not known for certain.

He's late. I said that right after the vote. But its good others are calling into question McCain competency to vote. He shouldn't be voting if he has brain cancer!
