I don't know that anyone is alleging any kind of sinister intent. It's notable all the same.

I still wish the internal rules would require the judges to disclose the basis for refusal. Doesn’t have to be super detailed, but the public needs to know why they’re recusing.

Agreed. A reason for recusal would be best for everyone in the interest of transparency.
