Simple. Nazism was defeated, and was on such a small comparable scale to Communism that it and its identity can be fully understood 70 years later.

It’s the truth. My dad was a Vietnam Vet. He always told me that the Vietnam War was so important because it showed the world we would put boots on the ground to stop the spread of communism.
It sucks we lost so many young lives in that war but it had to happen.
I believe Trump is the only current president that would try to stop that spread today.

Ok then, my next few questions would be what is it about socialism that makes it such an unstable system of government? Why does it lend itself to being taking over by “dictators,oligarch’s” etc every time it’s attempted? How many failed attempts and hundreds of millions of lives lost before it should be considered if it truly isn’t a realistic or sustainable model?
There’s never been “true” capitalism yet even the most halfassed attempts result in marked improvement of the lives for the majority of its people WITHOUT a fraction of the body count.

They’re writing of history doesn’t negate what I said. I absolutely agree with your statement. Given their credibility and expanse, they have the ability to write history.
The same would be true of Nazism existed on a regional or national scale today. Our historical view of the Holocaust would not be the same.

I can remember going through weeks of studying WWII in school. Hardly ever hear about the Pacific theater or the eastern front. They also hardly ever teach about the Cold War.
I’ll go out and say it, both are two of the most evil forms of government ever in the world period. But Fascism pales in comparison to Communism in my eyes when it comes to the most evil.
I fricking hate Communists to the core and would gladly eradicate the world of Communism.

This is not to say Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler, Mao and their ilk weren't all horrible.
There are some varying economic forms between the most extreme fascism and extreme communism, but from the worm's eye view of a common person, they are equally nightmarish.
