President has a duty to do what he believes is right, within bounds of Executive authority and the Constitution. He's done that.
Congress has a duty to do what it believes is right, within bounds of Legislative authority and the Constitution. And Congress, as you will notice, has done nothing to exercise its power to challenge the constitutionality of the President's actions.
So either the President's right, or Congress is shirking on it duty to keep the President honest. So which is it?

EO’s kinda suck, but the Congress is worse. They are pathetic and truly seek to give $‘s away or simply do nothing. Actually, legislating is of no interest to either side - the global Marxist or the Cuck, Never Trump Rinos. Scum.

It’s Sunday. He issued the EOs a little over 24 hours ago.
Let’s see if they walk into that little trap tomorrow. That’ll be a better gauge of things.

Valid point. But we'd probably expect them to be very vocal about their intentions to do something like that, to immediately call into question whether the EOs will stand. And much the opposite, chirping about them having little chance of standing.
They're conspicuously quiet about it though. But you can't rule anything out, true.

Inaction by one branch doesn't give that responsibility to another.
We complain when the Judicial decides to do the same. The Republicans rightly said something when President Obama ruled through EO, and now the high-ground is lost when the next President comes in and does the same.
I'm sure it feels nice to to get one back, but government isn't run in a vacuum, and every single action by the executive creates a precedent for the next. Every action by the President should be looked at with the view of tomorrow, the next week, next year, next century.

Sasse is a Senator for Nebraska. Nebraska went for Trump 59% to 34%.
Correct. I was talking about the congressional district in Nebraska that is similar to Maine that is almost going blue in Lincoln. It's the equivalent to 1 EV I believe.

So this guy must love a job where you get paid to accomplish absolutely nothing. I guess we should respect the esteemed senator from Nebraska. But in terms of getting anything accomplished Zip/Zero/Nada/Nothing.

Ben Sasse is best described by Ken Harrelson as a "hiney bird".
That is a bird which flies in smaller and smaller concentric circles until it eventually flies up its own arse..
Ben has his head up his arse...

Sasse is a neocon waterboy, and American exceptionalist, but not America Firster.

What happens if States that are stuck with dem governors don't recognize Trump's Orders and don't give out the money they have and are given to the unemployed?
Posted on 8/9/20 at 9:34 pm to davyjones
did I just read this correctly?
quote:
Kudlow said on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday that the federal government intends to match $400 with an additional $400 unemployment coming from states providing a total of an $800 benefit.
"It should be 800 bucks," Kudlow said, later continuing, "If the states step up, we’re prepared to match, that should come out $400 federal, $400 states."
He added people can expect their first checks within the month.

The #LincolnProject and other #NeverTrump folks are giving the Dems top cover to oppose these wildly popular EOs.
And, so we're clear - Trump was negotiating in good faith because he was asking for things he could probably get away with using these EOs (except the Trump bucks).
The Dems overplayed their hand ... AGAIN.
But, never underestimate the ability of Republicans, particularly in the United States Senate, to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
[Enter Ben Sasse]

Every patriot on Twitter not already hauled off to TWTMO should RT this thread and make sure to tag Sassy Sasse in it.
