It's absolutely hilarious to see Libs pretending to love this country. What an act.

Was it Democrats and Russians vs R’s when Hillary sold 25% of our uranium to Russia? What about Obama telling Russia he would have more flexibility after election? Where you equally as angry then too, DA?

Lawyers for former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort are now asking that he not be moved from a rural Virginia jail, the same day that a judge granted his request to be moved, according to court documents filed Tuesday.

The filing Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia argues that “issues of distance and inconvenience must yield to concerns about his safety,” and cites challenges Manafort would face in adjusting to a new place of detention two weeks before his trial.

Tuesday’s motion by Manafort’s attorneys comes on the same day that a judge ordered Manafort to be transferred to a detention center in Alexandria, Virginia, "to ensure that defendant has access to his counsel and can adequately prepare his defense."

Manafort had complained in recent court filings that that restrictions at the Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw and its distance from the courthouse made it hard for him to prepare for trial.

In Tuesday’s motion, Manafort’s attorneys said that "Mr. Manafort respectfully asks the Court to permit him to remain in his current place of detention."

However, Mueller’s new filing, if accurate, reveals that the Manafort version of solitary confinement comes with certain amenities.

Manafort “is not confined to a cell”
Between 8:30 am and 10 pm, Manafort “has access to a separate workroom at the jail to meet with his attorneys and legal team”
He has “his own bathroom and shower facility”
He has “his own personal telephone,” which he can use more than 12 hours a day
Those calls are limited to 15 minutes each, but when they cut off, he can just call the person back immediately
He’s made nearly 300 phone calls in the last three weeks
He has a personal laptop he can use in his unit to review materials and prepare for his trial
He was provided an extension cord to let him use his laptop in either his unit or his workroom
He’s not allowed to send emails, but he “has developed a workaround” for even that — his legal team brings in a laptop, he drafts the emails on that laptop, and they send them out after they leave.
He’s being treated like a “VIP,” according to his own account on a monitored phone call.

I have to say I'm embarrassed for Trump. He is in way over his head. Putin has no respect for him. The United States is now the laughing stock of the world because of the clown that's at the head of the country the Russian subversion has evidently been successful

But its China now, can you get your shite straight

Right. You get that from the venerable true pundit didn't you? And the quote was "illegally acquired" not specifically "hacked".

It is funny, numerous government entities say it was the Russians and one person [Page] says it was the Chinese and lo and behold everyone on here is immediately confident in the assertion. Because it comes from a place inside their echo chamber. The evidentiary requirements of some people on here are pathetic.

If Trump even considers letting the Russians question a former U.S. Ambassador to Russia, after his poor showing in Helsinki, the Republicans are sunk this fall.

Dems to accuse Trump of prodding Putin into doing this in 3...2...1

Trump didn't prod Putin to do this, but Putin didn't start this topic in the press conference out of the blue. It's much more likely something that Putin brought up with Trump in their private conference.

If Trump lets Russian goons question a former U.S. Ambassador to Russia, then Putin must have something on Trump. Not the golden shower. But something.

Sorry I missed your BS response last night.

The difference between you and me is if Hillary, or Huma, or any other nonviolent, nonflightrisk, white-collar political leftist was confined to prison without bail prior to trial, I'd strenuously object to that right along with you. It's apparent you couldn't care less about truth or justice as long as the result provides a partisan advantage.

Your insistence that Manafort prefers prison confinement to living at home is not just weird. It is pathetic.

So one more time, FTR, WTF was the hack Judge's rationale for jailing Manafort prior to a fair trial?

No, the issue is solitary confinement versus being housed with other prisoners.
