Ah good ole "Might makes right."
Has caused more trouble than its solved post WWII.

Would they even know how to use them???

Russia can’t even invade Ukraine. You think they’re giving missiles to another country?
Posted on 11/4/25 at 4:14 pm to Hangover Haven
They can give missiles to other countries
The question is if those missiles can be launched, and then the follow up is if they can be launched with any sort of accuracy and/or precision.
But, if this story is true, it will just let the "mad dog" agents of Putin (like Medvedev) talk shite online about how they will nuke us

Honestly curious - where in the Monroe Doctorine does it greenlight tampering in some Eastern European shithole that 75% of Americans can’t find on a map?

Won’t happen.
Trump will send in the B-2’s again and Putin knows it

When Russia puts a man on the moon and builds an aircraft carrier that doesn’t need to be escorted by a tugboat maybe they can consider complaining.

It’s almost like Putin wants to get a tomahawk missile in his bedroom window.
It's almost like people like you want WWIII and a nuke in your bedroom window. This is the escalation that was always coming once we stuck our nose in a war that was none of our business involving a nuclear power and their next door neighbor. The risk/reward ratio of US involvement in Ukraine is, and always has been, an infinite or undefined number, because the numerator is large and the denominator is zero.

Well I can't wait for the intellectual consistency and the rhetoric that we have to stop out of fears of WW3, now, like what we saw with Ukraine.

Venezuela is one of the main reasons why our country is fricked up today. In fact, it’s probably the main reason our country is fricked up with the exception of Democrats and people with TDS and the media

Bad US immigration policy regarding people fleeing what’s happening in Venezuela and its ripple effects are a big part of it, sure.

What % of the total South-Central American immigration (illegal, Biden/Obama-legal, or legal) do Venezuelans occupy? Let's say since Obama was elected. I can't imagine it's a large portion of the total.

I'd imagine single digits, percentage wise. The outpouring of the drug and cartel violence plus refugees into Colombia and Central America, sending more of the poor people in those places up here is more what I was thinking.
Posted on 11/4/25 at 4:39 pm to Indefatigable
I thought the Central American states had their own home-grown cartels/gangs, like MS13, who pretty much ran shite and caused people to flee.
Posted on 11/4/25 at 4:44 pm to SlowFlowPro
They certainly do. I imagine the outward pressure from Venezuela instability and their gangs moving with that made it worse, but perhaps not.
Either way, messing around in Venezuela has no possible positive outcome for the US--if we are to take every single example of such efforts in our entire history, outside of Japan and Germany, into account. It isn't possible to just end the Venezuelan drug trade through droning mule boats in the Caribbean, or droning the gangs on land--that's just whack-a-mole, and won't go any differently than the War on Terror.
I think its entirely possible that Trump watched or read Clear and Present Danger and thought it sounded cool.

So we are supposed to believe Putin wishes for tomahawks and our latest in Ukraine.
Gotcha.
