This quote from the article you linked contradicts your headline.
No, it says Russia’s export revenues have been falling since March, which they have, yet it has set record energy revenue. Energy being one segment.

So sanctions have only hurt the US taxpayer with higher energy costs?
Best of all, Russia will win this conflict and we'll be standing here wondering why we shot ourselves in the foot for nothing.

How’s the rest of the Russian economy doing?

There are problems, no doubt.
Most international financing has been cut off. But the ruble and China are helping alleviate some of that impact.
A key factor will be access to some of the special materials Russia needs for high tech. That could be a real issue ahead.
For Europe, US, Canada, Australia, & Japan, who comprise most of the sanctioning countries, a key factor is energy. And food.
Who will break first? If anyone?

Unfortunately or maybe fortunately the US no longer has any feet left to shoot off. They are down to just bone from a million shots to the feet.

Was a similar story on progressive Yahoo yesterday. Talked about how India was buying up so much of it and selling it to the USA.

It's pretty amazing how many headlines from the beginning of the invasion turned out to be utter poppycock.
There won't be a market for Russian oil.
The brave resistance is "winning".
The war will bankrupt the Russian government.
The Russian economy will collapse.
Meanwhile, we entered bear territory, inflation is out of control, supply chain issues have created third-world shortages, and the Russians control Eastern Ukraine.
The crap propaganda the American media puts out would make the ChiComs blush.

The Moscow Times is staunchly anti Putin and anti war, similar to Novaya Gazetta.
Oh sure…Putin definitely wouldn’t squash that.
The US news media is a huge joke, but this is RUSSIA we’re talking about.

It’s all propaganda to varying degrees.
There are Russian sources that are anti Putin and sources that are pro Putin.

The thing about the sanctions is that they were always meant to harm the normal Russian citizen. The oligarchs will be fine. It’s no different than the DC elites here and how their policies are fricking us over.

So what should we do then? Not sanction Russia?
Posted on 6/14/22 at 9:40 am to sta4ever
We should stop sanctioning our economy free falling into a recession.

Probably not on energy.
Try to work out a ceasefire.
