This man's death was not a political thing.

But Williams' life was. He unmercifully and disrespectfully pilloried Conservatives, just like Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, Jim Carrey, et al, does. For that, Williams is fair game; and just like on this forum...the fact that we go at it, whenever the conversation is hot...don't mean that we disrespect each other personally. I don't; but if an opponent goes low in the ring...no whining when it goes rogue.

After reading this article elsewhere, I listened to the first 20 minutes of that fat, arrogant bastard's show today to hear what his explanation was.

The article linked in this thread is BS.

Zach has explained it perfectly.

I broke the promise a year or so ago I'd never listen to his show again. I forgot what incident it was that drove me to give it a quick listen a good while back, but like that incident, the MSM/progs, etc, were wrong.

Now, back to not listening to that show again for a long time.

Rush agrees with you. You have no idea what Rush's opinion was since you didn't listen and just read Rex's fake links.

Thanks for the clarification. You are correct, I relied on Rex to give us some accuracy.

I was horribly wrong to do so. It won't happen again, Zach.

Thanks for putting the matter straight.

PS Rex, you suck.

I remember the last two times I listened to the show:

1) When he was not allowed to own part of the NFL team because of the "racist" comments he never made. I remember that thread well. Jersey Tiger called out Rex. Rex's comment, after it was proven over and over again that he was wrong was, "well, good for him, but I'm sure he was guilty because he was probably thinking it". (something along those lines)

2) The other incident was the Sandra Fluke deal. He did call her a whore, which I thought was deserved as well. I have a daughter. I hope she doesn't grow up to be like Fluke.

I agree with Rex. People that try to make political hay out of an innocent persons death are scumbags who deserve no less thn public scorn.

Dude had every opportunity to take the high road. Would have been very easy. But that's not what the hypocritical charlatan is paid to do. It's almost as much the fault of the dim sheep he herds as it is his. He's just giving them what they need to hear.

Well, that's where you have gone wrong, my child. It's like believing that Dan Uggla will eventually get a hit instead of striking out.

I just read through the first five pages of this thread and it's confusing whether or not Rush actually said this so I rescind this statement agreeing with Rex but my later point still stands.

Yes he did. You are lying again.

No, he didn't. You're lying. Show me ONE sentence in his transcript where he says he doesn't know why Williams killed himself.

He never connected it...why is he supposed to separate it?

You're lying. He not only he connected it he affirmed it. This, in fact, is an entire separate paragraph in his own transcript, with no qualifier, whatsoever:

He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn't.

quote:

He did. But you non listeners have no clue.

No, he didn't. You're lying again.

Yes, Rush fans tune in to hear how Robin Williams was a bad guy. Yep, that's it. You got it.

Just curious...if Rush had OD'd during his bout with drug addiction...do you think Williams, Maher, Progs on this Board, et al...would have joked about it?

Williams took his own life...that AIN'T "innocent". Damn selfish in my book. BTW, I still love and respect the man...and believe that the World is better for him having been here.

There is no doubt, whatsoever, that Rush exploited Williams's suicide to attack "political leftists". The Media Matters headline is beyond dispute.

The Raw Story headline, which I copied, is the only matter for debate, and even there there's not much. Zach would have you believe that Rush was criticizing liberal media reasons for the suicide, but the fact of the matter is that his subject article was FOX NEWS. Also, nowhere does he separate Williams from his liberal friends, never states a thesis that the media is stating things we don't really know, and even affirms the Fox anonymous sources on Williams's mental condition.

That's not in the subject trancript. That was him today trying to crawfish out of his words when they blew up in his face.
