Sitting in today on the Great El Rushbo radio broadcast was Todd Herman who is a true Patriot. At the beginning of the show he was holding back tears talking about Rush and then he played a tribute of one of his broadcast right before Christmas. It was a farewell thanking everyone in his life and he loved his audience. It was the first time to hear it and I completely lost it, this one really hit home. RIP Mr Rush Limbaugh

It’s well worth a few minutes of your time.

The Great Rush Limbaugh Merry Christmas to all

When I heard that and when I read the five paragraph letter that he wrote about President Trump I knew that he knew he was on his way out. Very sad but I’m glad we had him for the time we did

I've listened to his last show several times. I'm sure I'll listen many more times to his last words.

I have to remind myself that Rush is in a better place now. He's found truth. In the end, God is Truth.

Rush's journey is over and his eternity has begun. We will all miss him like a family member. But he's doing far better than okay right now, and for that, we can be thankful.

I've been stoic, but that ran me off the cliff.

RIP my friend!

I happened to catch it live and it finally hit me that he was really was done. I knew he was terminal but that farewell was his final sign off and it was a very sad day.

It’s a sad existence. Truthfully, they are their own problem. They’re miserable day-to-day whining and bitching about anything or anyone and all they can think to do is attempt to bring other down to wallow in misery with them. Meanwhile we’re celebrating that Rush is in a better place while missing him being here with us.

Thanks for that...I hadn't heard it.

I'd listened to Rush since probably 1992, but stopped probably 5 years or so ago. I had read on here about his cancer diagnosis, and started listening again this past summer when I could. Other than the pronounced nasal twang his voice had picked up after the implants, he was the same old Rush! I honestly would forget that he'd been diagnosed until I tuned in and there was a guest host. Nothing indicated he'd lost a step at all.

When I heard the news yesterday I was sadder than I thought I'd be, and honestly I've thought about him quite a bit today. When you think about the amount of time you've spent with him in your ear, it makes sense how great a loss he is to so many.

That's probably the last full show I listened to. I knew that it was weeks rather than months.

He had a segment where he would mock people who died of AIDS. He said women shouldn’t be allowed to be on juries where the defendant was a good looking guy. He said gay people who turn their back on someone are “inviting” them. He said feminism was invented so ugly girls could get ahead in life.

Very Christian and tolerant of him. That’s who you miss. If there were a hell, he’s first in line.

Yes you are an atheist from way back.

But you are reasonable.

We have an escapee from Democratic Underground.

The only good news about that site is it keeps the crazy somewhat contained.

I’m registered Republican and I haven’t voted Democrat once in my life. I hate Trump, but my facebook feed is flooded with Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens... etc.. I’m pretty sure it’s public information what party you’re registered with. I’m happy to provide you with that information via PM. Please feel free to take me up on that.

You think I’m a Dem because I don’t think it’s OK to mock deaths from AIDS? That’s a person you consider worth mourning? Jesus, according to the Bible at least, forgave people. Had AIDS been a thing back then, you bet your arse he would’ve treated it like he supposedly treated leprosy.

In fact, if God were an evil narcissist, we'd all be boiling in fat for eternity for our insolence. But we're not. God is merciful, creative, and loving. The furthest thing from narcissistic.

You should study about narcissists. They treat people reasonably well who worship them, because they need people they can control and manipulate. Those who don’t get damned for eternity. Hitler and Stalin treated their yes-men pretty well.

“Uneducated” says the guy who believes in the invisible man in the sky who “doesn’t need anything” yet created humans and basically said, hey I’ll never present any evidence of my existence so you’ll just have to believe in me, and if you don’t you’re fricked for eternity.

Honestly, that is the way I have felt since I heard the news. Missing him like a dear friend or family member. In all seriousness, I just found a way to drive around all day and shop rather than work much(have my own business). My heart just wasn't into it today. I am really struggling trying to fill the void as has been said of a show I actively sought out for three hours daily like a conservative comfort blanket really. When Rush was on, it was like things were normal. Now things aren't normal. Not even close. It really has been like losing someone close and when you think about it, how many of our friends and family do we sit down with daily and hear words of wisdom for that long?

I sat back and really thought about it...seldom do we find ourselves engaging in that sort of audience with ANYONE else in our worlds. Now it is just like poof, taken from us. And while we know these days come when folks we look up to and admire leave us, it never seems to make it any easier. I know some of the haters won't ever get this and some go as far to have a huge reservoir of vile venom in them. I pity those people. I also pity those who view Rush through ignorance, choosing to believe a medium form that has no regard for the truth and reality, rather than think for themselves by doing their own research.

I do hope that someone can find a way to keep the Limbaugh School For Advanced Conservatives Studies open as a tribute to him! My tuition has been paid in advance through the time I have spent listening and I really don't want a refund.

Thankful to God we had him as long as we did.

Absolutely, talent on loan from God. Hey, God wanted him back. With a mind like Rush, how can we be angry at God?

IMO the guy was just brilliant.

As if that actually means anything. As for your comments on Rush.. use your sense of humor.

I hear ya bro

I mentioned in another thread that I named my son after him because Rush was like a second earthly father to me. I guess that sounded odd, but my father was quite racist and had a lot of bad qualities that I acquired, and I see now that he was just a lib, after I came to the Lord and he began to slowly change me from the man that I didn’t won’t to be, I found Rush and acquired a different outlook on this world of ours. Rush has been the biggest influence on my life and my new man, and I’ve never been ashamed of that. I see him as my second earthly father in that he has had mor influence over me than any other man, so although he didn’t know me, he helped me more than my own father, and I will greatly miss his voice.
