Rural Oregon Residents Petition To Secede and Join Trump-Backing Idaho

The state of Oregon is often associated with the leftist politics of those living in Portland.
The city, which is in a constant state of unrest, protest and chaos, has come to embody the epitome of enlightenment envisioned by the far left.
But not everyone in the state is happy to be affiliated with riots, used hypodermic needles and perpetual madness.
A great many rural Oregonians say they have been voiceless for decades, and they are currently seeking a life raft to escape a sinking ship.
Oregon is a geographically diverse and large state with an estimated population of around 4.2 million people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
quote:
A movement called “Greater Idaho” is seeking a peaceful separation of rural citizens, who want out of the madness and to join their more conservative neighbors in Idaho, which has a Republican governor and Republican majorities in both houses of the legislature, and which supported President Donald Trump in the 2016 election over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by a 59.2 percent to 27.5 percent margin.
The Oregonian reported the long-shot initiative, which began making moves in February, would see 22 of Oregon’s 36 counties become part of conservative-leaning Idaho. Residents of several conservative northern California counties also want to join the movement.

Articles of confederations right down to the county level. Big cities can become free cities.

My BIL is from Oregon.
He’s always told us that the rural parts of the state are amongst the most conservative areas in the country.
So this news isn’t entirely unexpected.
But what will happen?
What can happen?
I’m intrigued.
It’s beginning.
I’m just not sure what it is.

Outside of Seattle, many residents in Washington are the same way. If DC is allowed to become their own state, I think it should be fair game at that point.

Idaho is moving blue. The libs are fleeing California, Oregon, & Washington for Idaho and of course bring the politics with them.
You’ve already seen Arizona , Nevada, New Mexico & Colorado flip.
Utah & Texas are being invaded now.

I've been a member of this FB group for a while. I don't think it has much momentum but I could be wrong.

These residents of Oregon and Northern California should also explore options to push to form their own new state.

To win those areas, you need to run as Barry Goldwater not Jerry Falwell.

if only the Idaho National Guard would go into those areas that are asking to join... bring the Idaho Governor in to say...

Conservative Texas—the farms, ranches, small towns, etc.—quietly watches and chuckles at this.
Let ‘em continue to paint the streets of Austin and infiltrate the most urban areas of Houston and Dallas.
But the rest of the behemoth state is probably the most well-armed group of people on the planet.

You could split both Oregon and Washington in half almost right down the middle and one side is "deep blue" and one side is "deep red" in each case.
28/39 Washington State counties are "red" counties. If you bifurcate the state right down the middle at around Yakima, 10 of the 11 "blue counties" are on the left side of that line.
29/39 Oregon State counties are "red" counties. Bifurcating the state down the middle at around Bend, EVERY blue county is on the left side of that line.

So basically what you're saying is lib filth are like a plague of locust? Move in to a new area, exhaust all the resources, and then move on once they've fricked the whole area up...
Just wanted to be on the same page.

I've never understood this? These libs flee democrat controlled states because of high taxes and crime. They go to a Red State, yet continue to vote for the same dems that ruined the state they just left. What idiots.

Need to see more of this.
This has to happen. The federal process has a buffer to an extent but state level policies are solely majority. Parts of California have to feel like they have absolutely no say in b their state. They only get to pay. It has been a problem at times in Florida...what Pensacola wants is useless if Miami wants something else

Nah.
Locusts aren’t intent on injuring others; they’re just doing their thing.
These protesters are looking to do as much harm as they can to other humans.
I don’t like hyperbole, but in this case it’s accurate to say many of these protesters are evil.
The rest are lost, misguided, and lonely.

If we are being Machiavellian, the prudent thing to do is make the state of Jefferson/Cascadia in addition to Idahoan annexation. Works better for the Senate.
ETA: Honestly, we need to recognize where political divides exist contemporarily and just have cities become independent entities with rural and some suburban areas as states. It would make a lot more sense, if we are to remain a union.

Nothing will happen because I don’t see the federal government allowing states to start redrawing their lines based on political preferences. Seems like gerrymandering could be organized at a level we never imagined.
But it is certainly interesting. I guess a population boost would help Republicans in the house after the next census.

God please let this start happening...wall off these crazies and let the fail begin.
