Because, as it turns out, that's what happened in this case.
He jogged frequently, he wasnt wearing boots and jeans as you've heard on the internet. He was wearing cargo shorts and wearing (his) running shoes, running a common route and he stopped at his normal watering hole, the open construction house that he'd stopped at numerous times, and had never touched or stolen a single thing.
None of the other people that frequently stopped at that open construction site had 911 called, nor did 3 rednecks track them down, cut off their means to flee the danger or point a shotgun at them.
The father and son will be convicted of felony murder, book it.

Are you denying that the shooter exited the vehicle and raised his gun to Arbery as he approached and Arbery then veered to the right/passenger side of the truck at which point the shooter moved from the side of his truck around to the front to cut him off?

He ran around the right side of the truck trying to avoid Jr, who pointed the shot gun at him (an aggravated assault according to Ga Law) and Jr moved to the front and right to cut him off, his going for the shot gun at that point was 100% self defense.
Jr shot him while he and his father were engaged in a felony, causing his death, both will be found guilty of felony murder, book it.
