Rumor has it, Blinken didn't know he had a Dong

Chinese-language anti-Communist media and Twitter are abuzz this week with rumors that Deputy State Security Minister Dong Jingwei defected in mid-February, flying from Hong Kong to the United States with his daughter, Dong Yang.
Former Chinese foreign ministry official Dr. Han Lianchao, who defected after the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, claimed in a tweet on Wednesday (6/16), that Chinese senior diplomats pressed Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to return Dong.
Blinken reportedly refused to hand him over to them amid the frosty summit. following which both sides denounced each other in the press. Blinken didn't exactly refuse. At the time Blinken wasn't aware that Dong was in the hands of the US Government (

Sources say DIA leadership kept the defector within their Clandestine Services network to prevent Langley and the State Department from accessing the person, whose existence was kept from other agencies because DIA leadership believes there are Chinese spies or sources inside the FBI, CIA, and several other federal agencies.

If DIA were so called 'patriots' we wouldn't be CCP infiltrated. If DIA were patriots, the JCS/ DOD/Pentagon wouldn't be a political tool of the democrats & GOPe.

This is logical.
Equally logical is that the DIA wanted the leftists embedded in the other agencies to show themselves. With Resident Biden in charge, the leftists have pretty much put themselves out there with no fear of retribution.
I only point this out to illustrate that there is more than one logical possibility.

I'm keeping an eye on the DIA and reports referencing it.
