As opposed to keeping boots on the ground to keep them from using the island?
I never advocated for this, so I have no idea who you're arguing against.

Trump says “weve won” daily.
Their Air Force is gone.
Their navy is gone.
Are there factories to be destroyed? If so what does that have to do with invading that island?
I was assuming we weren’t taking the Rubio hit at face value as I thought it was pretty accepted that the situation is really about oil, nukes or regime change unless you disagree?
That's a lot of words, and none of them tell me where Rubio said all objectives have been met yet. He specifically said weeks not months, which means some objectives are still being met.
Rubio could be wrong, maybe its decades, make it involves tens of thousands of ground troops. I don't know because I can't see into the future.
I am only commenting on what we currently know and using that context to judge what Rubio said.

Where in that clip did Rubio say we've achieved any objectives yet?
In the clip he referenced four primary war aims:
1) destruction of their Air Force - per us reports that’s complete
Wash Examiner: What has the US destroyed so far in the war
2) destruction of their navy - per US reports that’s complete
Wash Examiner: What has the US destroyed so far in the war
3) reduce their missile capacity - per Trump and other reports that’s complete or close
4) destruction of their drone and missile factories - per WH greatly impacted
quote:
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly stated the operation was a “resounding success — Iran’s navy is destroyed, their defense industrial base is dismantled.” - Anna Kely WH rep
WH: factory capacity destroyed
The four stated war aims Rubio just outlined have all been met per their own reports and despite that I’m being told to prepare for a ground invasion.

The first 10 seconds of that clip says 70% damaged or destroyed.
You yourself have acknowledged that they still have some missile and drone capacity.
Hell, I recall two days ago you were blabbing on, saying the following:
"Or that 2/3s of Irans military installations are focused on the strait of hormuz meaning they can defend in depth anything we try to do in that area, not to mention that their missiles are capable of hitting ships in that channel even if we were to somehow sweep them from the area directly on the strait?"
Please tell me, what key targets have we hit in the last two days that made you go from what you said above to "hur dur, all our objectives are complete. They've got nothing left."

Is your expectation that we would get to 100% of all mobile launchers destroyed? I agree we don’t have 100% and never will absent a full ground invasion with regime change.
To be clear Rubio didn’t say we need all. He said greatly reduce (whether 70% is greatly reduce is completely subjective) and impact their factories which they say they have done.

Yes. 2/3s of their military installations are in that region per published reports. Those installations include naval installations now with no ships, Air Force bases with no planes and army bases.
The army remains along with some anti ship missiles, enough to complicate a landing although hopefully with enough missile defense screens we could accomplish it.
Rubio didn’t say a war aim was the elimination of their army and I didn’t say that’s been achieved because it’s barely been touched.
Did Iraq have an Air Force or navy when our ground units went into Tikrit? No.
Did we eat casualties anyway? Absolutely.
Did Afghanistan? No.
We were in Afghanistan for 20 years and still had to leave without ever really conquering and pacifying the place.
I simply have no interest in seeing us go down an invasion/occupation path which is why I’m arguing we should hold their oil shipments via blockade or bomb their facilities if that’s required to force them to the table then we should GTFO.

It’s always been absurd that a key, well known Clinton operative became one of the main faces of ABC News.

It's funny that Snufulufugus has learned nothing even after being slapped down multiple times and causing his employer to have to pay Donald J. Trump $15M.
But he doesn't have to learn, just promote the preferred narrative. That's how Operation Mockingbird works. And he's paid incredibly well to lie constantly.
