I am so fricking tired of this lazy, unintelligent criticism that the next time I hear someone say it to me in person I might hit them.

Yup.

You can retype the sentence "cut taxes on the rich" to say "cut taxes on the people who pay taxes".

It means EXACTLY the same thing.

Geez man. Know what really gets me? For years, all everyone ever talked about was how Obama/ the Dems. would not bend on anything - they got throttled in the elections.

Now Republicans are doing the same thing. If people don’t start bending and negotiating, the same thing is gonna happen.

No one ever learns.

We gotta stop being “all-in” as conservatives. Give and take man - that is how you win in the long run - even within our party. Ask the master - Reagan.

Then by your definition, only the rich pay taxes, ergo tax cuts, by definition, can only be for the rich.

Because the vast majority of this falls on people making under $100k. Percentage wise? Sure, the folks getting torched are getting torched less. But as far as gross benefit, that falls on the working "poor" up to the solid middle class.

What possible tax reform could have been done with Dem support? Jacking up the EITC? They never would have agreed to cutting rates or reducing the number of brackets - if it was up to them, they would go back to 99% marginal rates and have 11 brackets - they love to compartmentalize.

How come the "moderates" aren't crossing the line? Manchin? Heitkamp? Because their "moderateness" is just bullshite.

But, "Republicans" like McCain and Collins vote with Dems ALL...THE...TIME.
