The situation isn’t the same either. In 1900 and 1956 the losing candidate had never been President. They were just the party’s nominee twice in a row. Jon Ham should have known that. He consistently lies, though.
The only time a former President ran against the person to beat him, the former President won. (Grover Cleveland).
When Trump becomes the republican nominee it will only be the second time that scenario has ever happened.
