We’ve set the bar so low if you think good control of your impulses and not having terminal and incurable foot in mouth disease is “more presidential”.

Yet you haven't stopped melting about it

Why can't you just be satisfied that Ron is doing a solid

He hasn’t seen 1/1000 of what Trump faced.

Don’t get me wrong, he had handled what he had faced quite well, but we are talking about two completely different levels.

Republicans didn’t lose because of the mythical independent suburban woman

Republicans lost because Democrats had tens of millions of blank mail in ballots that they stuffed into polling places

No, the communists did. I will do anything it takes to defeat them. DeSantis is by far the best bet. Trump will most certainly get my vote if he is the 2024 nominee, but he’s not the champion I think most suited to defeat them.

I said something similar and got downvoted the other day.

I voted for him in 2020 and would again today. I’ll most likely vote for in in 2024 if he’s the nominee.

This week with Colin Powell is a perfect example of why I’d rather DesSantis.

Trump’s statement about CP wasn’t wrong. CP lied to the UN. He lied to the American people. He endorsed people that hated him and called him a murderer in the last 5 years.

But the way he worded that “release” is going to make sure that a certain segment of people never vote for him. ever.

He loses chances with unforced errors like that all the time. I like that he fights. I like that he isn’t PC. But do it without being an a-hole and costing yourself voters.

DeSantis is the culture warrior without the bloody past.

I think DeSantis, MTG and Rand are about the only 3 out there with a set on them

Rand

Rand is the only politician I’ve ever voted for that I had 0 reservations about outside of my state rep (I go to church with him and he’s a great dude.)

I know he’s not the sexy pick but he’s the perfect example of being a libertarian where he’s supposed to be and constitutional conservative the rest of the time.

Minorities, particularly Hispanics moved right in 2020 and is responsible for Texas and Florida staying red in the Trump column and was able to put down the white suburb revolt in Houston, Dallas, Miami, Tampa and Orlando.

In the rust belt, Trump lost lost those states because there was not enough gettable minorities to offset his losses in the suburbs and failed to focus on the white working class to replace them. He actually lost ground with white men and white women.

In the rust belt, it's all about white people and specifically, the white working class.

Then explain democrats getting as close as 4 seats away from losing the house when they were projected to gain seats and Susan Collins of all people winning an 8 point victory in Maine when she never ever led a single poll?

Some don’t seem to understand that we need both of them. It's not like we have a 20 year supply of America/Constitution loving patriots. We need Trump to get in office again, we need someone to hold down Florida. Outside of those two, who do we have? We need a streak of presidents who are against Marxism to dig out of this hole over the next 20 years.

Even If Ron wins, then what? You think he wins again? We are back in this same Marxist take over of America with inflation and purposeful destruction of our economy.

If Trump were just some random guy and he said that about Powell on this board or out in public, I would have no problem with it at all.

In fact, I agree with the actual statement itself.

The problem is, that kind of thing gains Trump exactly nothing at all. Nothing. There's no point to it.

And it's a great example of his lack of discipline and self control. It's all risk and no reward.

When you're the elderly age Trump is now at 75, you're pretty much set in your ways and how you operate and this is how he will be until the day he dies. It's never going to change.

Agreed 100%.

Not saying I’m right, you’re wrong or anything of the sort. I genuinely understand anybody saying that he was too much to vote for. CP statement is a perfect example.

It’s just that I DGAF about that sort of thing. Decorum means Jack shite to me. The other guy endorses murdering babies as a inalienable right and weaponizes greed, jealousy, and class warfare as a means to being elected.

I’m not saying that Trump doesn’t do the same thing on his side, but at least he doesn’t want you to hate your fellow American for existing.

Republicans suck so much. Trump sucks as an option. I hate so many of the things they make issues of. But the Democrats leave me 0 choice.

Republicans didn’t gain seats in Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia, WI, and AZ where most of Biden’s late gains happened.

I am not wholesale endorsing Trump’s view of fraud. I’m just saying that it’s easy to see Republicans gaining in the house while losing Presidential votes when it comes to big cities.

Republicans gaining ground, Trump gaining minority votes, and winning a lot of bell weather counties along with Florida and Ohio going red and still ending up with Trump losing only enforces fraud to me. Again. Not saying I’m full on “stolen election.”

Right, I don't care about statements like the CP thing. It has no effect on my life.

But too many people that would be persuadable to voting conservative actually care about those things and depending on the district/state, they have more voting power than you and I do.

And thus I act accordingly and want disciplined candidates that do not have foot in mouth disease.

I wish this wasn't true but it is.

You mean cities that has pure blue D+20 seats that were already represented by democrats and didn't need any sort of fraud to win those?

I will say it for you. It was a stolen election. Since when can anyone change voting laws without going through the legislative process? Emergency powers BS be damned when it comes to something of this magnitude.

Out of a registered voting census of 130ish Million voters, we have an election with over 155 million voters. 20+ million unregistered voters just decided that day to vote? FJB get's 81 million votes when he can't fill the floor of a high school gymnasium for a rally?

DC Swamp, corrupt MSM, state and local rats, don't piss down our backs and tell us it's raining.

They didn’t need fraud to win those but they did the Presidential election.

You can’t go commit fraud in Smith County, TX and flip it from 70% Republican to 51% democrat without immediately getting red flags and an audit.

You can increase blue votes in Detroit, Atlanta, and Philadelphia by 5-10% and nobody will bat an eye.

And I want candidates who are going to hit back with disproportionate force against their left-wing opponents who will flat out lie on camera about their own records and not be called out. Not candidates you favor like Mitt Romney, who should have sued the frick out of Harry Reid for slander in 2012 but wanted to "take the high road".

Seriously, every time someone like Richard Blumenthal opens his mouth, he needs to be forced to defend his false claims that he served in combat in Vietnam...EVERY...SINGLE...frickING...TIME.

The leftist candidates need to be constantly having to defend their own words and deeds.
