Roman's 1:18-32 spitting some fire

Spent some time in Romans this morning. This is certainly not for the faint of heart. I imagine most modern Pastors, Priests, and mega-church preachers won't even touch these passages, out of fear of offending the "seekers"
quote:
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Amen. It’s a wonderful chapter.
And for those who support homosexuality: verses 26 and 27 are speaking about women who lust after other women and men who lust after other men. It’s not talking about temple prostitution or pederasty, as some liberal apologists want to assert.

If a preacher is worried about offending someone, then they don't need to be in the pulpit. It's their job to keep the flock on the right trail.

Genuinely being honest here.
How do these passages compare to the ancient Aramaic and/or Hebrew versions of the Bible?

I have relatives that are in the LGBTQ community and they have a church they go to. I've never been, obviously, but I've always been curious how they get around the word of the bible to justify their lifestyle. I'm guessing they just act like it doesn't say it. However, I think just recently the LGBTQ community has come to terms with their incompatibility with God's words. Hense the new term christcucks and shooting up schools with christcucks in it.

Thanks for sharing. The truth is not always easy to accept, but I know that because I have faith in God, his will be done.

Nixon knew. Check out this 1 minute clip from 1973 with President Nixon and several others regarding homosexuality.
"Look what happened to The Greeks. It completely destroyed them"

Also, speaking of Romans. Romans 12:2 couldn't be more relevant right now during the times we live in. It's one of my favorite verses.

This would have to mean the Old Testament since the New Testament was primarily written in Koine Greek. See Genesis 19, Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13.

A key is in v25…they exchanged the truth for a lie….because of this God gave them over to their lusts…
He has given our nation over
Look at our news…everything is a lie and many just accept it or even love it…we are under judgement.

2 Peter 3:16 probably applies here. Look up LGBT apologist Brandan Robertson on YouTube for an example of this in action.

God will punish us as a country for what is happening to Trump.

What is happening to Trump is awful, but God is punishing us for our apathy, our suppression of His truth, our accepting and glorifying sexual deviance, and our spending the last 50 years “legally” murdering babies.

quote:Jeff Durbin and James White had a discussion/debate with him last week and exposed the root of his heretical positions. He rejects the authority and sufficiency of scripture and views the Bible in a similar way that most non-Christians do, namely that it is a book written by men and that it isn’t God’s word (where he doesn’t like it, at least).

It’s sad that such a man claims to follow Christ when he is spiritually blind and leading others down the path to hell.

Yes I saw that video. Just finished James White's book on the King James Controversy as well. Highly recommend for anyone who lives in small southern KJV only towns like I do.

Guarantee you do this as well. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. If God condemns homosexuality, then let him pass his judgement on them
