The Stones look like they've had some hard miles on their road.
That's a fact. But,
Mick Jagger = 80 years old.
Keith Richards = 79 years old.
Ronnie Wood = 76 years old.
They are my parent's age, and I'm 53. They should look rough.
I'm mighty close to their age at 77, but people think I'm early 60 something. Guess they did more drugs or something. Maybe stress, but I often worked 60 hours a week with serious deadlines.

It's always seemed to be it's own thing that's hovering around between music and poetry.

Didn't know that the Beatniks were musicians

Melody? Naw frick that sh.. We got autotune! Loved some of the rap over the ages, especially 90s, but now, all I hear is auto-tune, chipmunk sounding vocals in the background, and a bunch of dudes competing on how many times they can fit the N-gg- word into a "song".

Lol I was thinking about posting first of the month in response to that last night. Writing a song about how great it is to get a welfare check is funny enough, but most of the song being about getting more money from drug addicts who just got their welfare check, and then having the whole time of the song be joyous - it’s transcendent. You would only think of making a song like thag if you are a ghetto teenager from Cleveland, which they were. But then you also wouldn’t think of making a song that is four dudes rapping incredibly fast while also trying to harmonize with each other if you were listening to advice from record execs. The insanity of it is what is incredible about it

I think rap actually gained a foothold when the FCC and FTC passed "regulations" mandating that a certain percentage of radio stations should be minority owned and took action as they came up for sale. Hmmm funny how that works.
As a side note did you know Keith Richards mother in law was also his daughter in law? Dont know if he is still married, but he went out and married some young girl and her mother fell in love with his son from decades before (they are about the same age), its Keith marrying a chick close to a half century his junior that is odd, or great depending on your perspective.

No, I don’t see where this is going.
If you want to claim that the pyramids of Giza, the Roman Colosseum, a medieval cathedral and a mud hut are all structures, then fine. But don’t try to say or claim they’re all the same.

The things you claimed don't exist in rap music, do in fact exist in rap music.

You're the one making the claim that rap music is not music.
Would you like another try at coming up with an element key to music that rap lacks? You're currently 0/3.

Cool, Keith Richards hates rap.
How many artists creating rap right now know who Keith Richards is?
Now, I'm 33 and actually know The Stones and am a fan of some of their music, but uhhhh its not like its all great by any stretch. Same for rap, I hate most current rap because it isn't even really rap. The music and the bars changed and its really a new genre, kind of how Neo-Soul sprang from R&B in the 90s, similar but not the same.
I'm sure Keith Richards hates what's considered current rock music too...it's not rock music. Evolution, in any case, has its luminaries...it all as its deficiencies.
Real rap, as great music still exists, just doesn't get the spotlight that the trendy stuff gets and its sad really.

You die as you wish on that hill. I've made my statement and stand by it.

If you can't support it are you actually standing by it? I'm not asking for your firstborn here.
Just a single example.

I've supported my position. If you're too stubborn to pretend to not get my point, move on.

In what way? Rap music consists of all the things you posited that it didn't.

In what way?
In very much the way I showed above.
