Can someone explain what the big deal is in reducing someone from 7 years to 4 in jail

That’s punishment enough for the crime

Can we let Stone apologize and then just forget all about it? Is that on the table?

The witness in stone case basically said he was not threatened by stone. So what did Stone actually do to get convicted.

Witness tampering was threatening a dog.

nothing, it was a complete sham trial and the judge was in on the whole thing. stone never had a chance at a fair trial just like trumps impeachment trial in the house, the fix was in before they even started it

Roger Stone will be home for Christmas 2020

Trump pardons him right after he’s re-elected

The Mueller case was BS anyway, no one should be charged with anything as it was a sham from the start.

Sends the message that anyone under investigation for breaking the law who's doing it on behalf of the president's political interests is going to get a below-guidelines deal. Rudy, for example, is probably breathing a bit easier today.

Schiff has lied innumerable times to Congress. He’s still pretending to be a Congressman. No jail so far.

If that was the case, why is this the first time this has happened?

Doj didn’t intervene for manafort, Cohen, etc

The interference initially came out of the White House - the president's legal team that was dangling pardons to Cohen & Manafort. Trump himself called for Mueller's firing, but McGahn didn't follow through.

Barr has been the key at DOJ & he was there during the relevant times for Cohen & Manafort. He misrepresented the findings of the Mueller report, kept grand jury materials to Congress, didn't appoint a special counsel regarding Ukraine when he had plenty of reason via the ICIG. And now he's taking over sentencing recs for the pres's political allies.

Thats why Clinton should have gotten a much harsher sentence than Stone will get.

I wish Trump hadn’t said anything about it. Not that I think he actually interfered, but just to avoid the avoidable controversy.
