I know John Pierce from my time as a tanker in the Army. He was a Platoon Leader in the 1st Cav.
First Team and Armor leading the way as usual.

Is Rittenhouse being held in jail in Illinois?
Or has he made bail?
I’m not sure how that works where extradition is involved.

You really believe it's a crime in Wisconsin for Rittenhouse to carry nunchakus, but it's not a crime for him to carry an AR? Seems like a stretch
Also, 14.5-16" barrel is standard length so it may not be a long gun.
I don't blame the kid for protecting himself. Especially the first time he fired.
I do blame him, however, for fleeing the scene and leaving the state. And for being there in general. Presumably, based on his attorneys tweet, after he walked past the officers he met up with his friend to drop the rifle back off with it's owner.

You must be new. No one gets jail time on first felonies unless it’s a violent charge, sex crime, or large amount of drugs. Nobody in America is doing jail time on misdemeanors. That’s laughable

Odd that an attorney would have an error like this “ one attacker kicked Kyle on the ground while he was on the ground”
