There's some interesting stuff in the complaint:

quote:

McGinnis stated he did not hear the two exchange any words. McGinnis said that the unarmed guy (Rosenbaum) was trying to get the defendant’s gun. McGinnis demonstrated by extending both of his hands in a quick grabbing motion and did that as a visual on how Rosenbaum tried to reach for the defendant’s gun. Detective Cepress indicates that he asked McGinnis if Rosenbaum had his hands on the gun when the defendant shot. McGinnis said that he definitely made a motion that he was trying to grab the barrel of the gun. McGinnis stated that the defendant pulled it away and then raised it. McGinnis stated that right as they came together, the defendant fired. McGinnis said that when Rosenbaum was shot, he had leaned in (towards the defendant).

Jojo didn't die from a head wound:

quote:

Dr. Kelley of the Milwaukee Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Joseph Rosenbaum. Dr. Kelley indicated that Rosenbaum had a gunshot wound to the right groin which fractured his pelvis, a gunshot wound to the back which perforated his right lung and liver, a gunshot wound to the left hand, a superficial gunshot wound to his lateral left thigh, and a graze gunshot wound to the right side of his forehead.

Not guilty on first five.

Guilty on charge six.

100% agree, as I think most sane people would.

This must be count #5, the lucky guy:

quote:

As the defendant is on the ground, an unidentified male wearing a dark-colored top and light-colored pants jumps at and over the defendant. Based on the sounds of gunshots on the video and the positioning of the defendant’s gun, it appears that he fires two shots in quick succession at this person. It appears that that person was not hit as he then runs away from the defendant.

Have to disagree with you here. I'm not sure if he had any training, but as someone in the military who is typing this while armed. I would say his discipline was better than half the people who work for me. Hell he hit all three targets he aimed at, neutralized 2 and "disarmed" a 3rd. He had a clear head to render aid after the fact and he walked away unharmed at the end of it. I would want him on my team any day! At least i would know going into a fire fight he would have my back and not shite himself under pressure.

I have to assume the reason for the overcharging and specific charges is that this is being used as a backdoor test case for the Supreme Court to ban firearms

Nah it's an over zealous liberal/progressive DA trying to appeal to his base (the Rioters/ANTIFA/BLM) and make them happy that he is throwing the book at the kid. It's the same thing that happened in Atlanta with the cop. before any evidence or investigation they charged them with like 9 felony counts including 1st degree murder. It's politics with other peoples lives.

You are a fricking lying piece of shite. I work with two different groups of these kids for a week once a year. Of all the hundreds of volunteers these are the second best group and they are all just high school kids. Respectful and polite. The best group is the ROTC students

Spread your bullshite lies back on DU where they will cheer your bullshite lies.

What's a reliable source that we can donate to his attorney fees? Has one been set up?

I haen't read the entire thread yet but I hope I see a gofundme for this guy. The police resisters get one within an hour of dying. This dude, deserves our support.

Am I reading this correctly that a shot to the back was the kill shot?

How would that happen when he was lunging face first at Rittenhouse?

Probably whether he can claim to be part of an unorganized militia. That would be U.S. Code that theoretically supersedes State law.

Charged as an adult 5 times then a kid in the 6th one. A jury won’t go for that. Either he is a kid or an adult.

That’s 5 shots. The reporter said four from the rifle. Maybe a stray got him in the back as there are reports of other gun shots not from the patriot.

From his attorney Lin Wood

“Donations for defense of Kyle Rittenhouse should be made to #FightBack Foundation, Inc., a Texas 501(c)(4) Foundation. Please be wary of any other efforts to raise money for Kyle’s defense.

Website for #FightBack Foundation will be online within 6-12 hours for donations & info.”

He is definitely guilty of count #6, but he will not get convicted on the other 5.

You’re right. That seems like it could be a big deal.
