This is Trump's call.
Or is it Tillerson's call? Who says he's being forced out? He's a business guy, economy taking off already and about to hit orbital speed. Why wouldn't he want to get out, leave the media behind, make many more million's and enjoy the spending?

Tillerson strikes me as a guy who took the job to do one thing specifically...clean it up. He has slashed the budget and ran out career lifers.
He is a rich as guy that probably has better things to do with his time.

Go ahead and appoint all the neocons to positions of power?
Neocons are firmly in control. Army is adding 80k by the end of 2018, we will be at war with somebody, Iran is my guess by the end of 2018.

There's no way he's finished the job by now though. Why should I believe that Pompeo will not undo the good that Tillerson has done?
I'm really struggling to wrap my head around this because I have always viewed Tillerson as the shining star of this administration. Now he's being replaced by the bureaucracy.

They (the deep state) hate Rex heading up State because he's cut off many of the State's slush funds.
Among other reasons. Rex is perfect for the DOS right now. I think there is a good chance he's out soon though unfortunately.

Nikki Haley would do really well as Sec of State.
It's definitely what she's being groomed for

It’s ok to entertain the idea that Trump isn’t as great as he’s proclaimed himself to be and maybe he’s just kinda reacting day-to-day as shite comes along.

State abandoned real expertise and started hiring people to meet political quotas in the Clinton era. They haven’t been the same since.
I’m sure Tillerson purge will hurt some qualified people, but on the whole it’s a very good thing, and something I thought we’d never see.
I wouldn’t cry for many of these so called subject matter experts. Few have any real practical experience I the regions they study, and few have any real understanding of the peoples they deal with.
They don’t want to understand the outside world, which is States job, they want to transform it.

The "deep state" isn't a myth, it's a neocon playground.

This is like the eighth "Tillerson is gone!" story to come out in the past year.

Cotton is such an anti-Iran warhawk that I think a war with Iran is highly likely.

shite show that Trump held a few months ago where he made every cabinet member say something good about him was all you need to know about the pathetically fragile pussy who is leading this country or trying to
