Do y’all believe for one second if the senate and White House (Hilary) was held by Democrats they would wait until the election to fill this seat? Do you think Obama held up the Garland nomination until after the election when Scalia died so we could honor this imaginary rule?

This is the reason the liberals own the culture wars in this country. Republicans play by rules the liberals set, but don’t themselves follow. President and the senate get to decide. The party who controls both gets to set the rules.

If there isn't a judge confirmed by the end of October there isn't a Republican party anymore anyways

Of course not. And the RINOs of the Senate need to think about that when they decide to abstain from the vote. They think they are being noble but nobility has no place in Washington at this particular time. We are in a culture war and if you cede an inch of ground they will take a mile. Now is the time to install a truly conservative Supreme Court justice to prevent that cuck Roberts from being the deciding vote on important cases. He will side with the liberal position every single time in those instances.

The Dems will never again be in this situation because they will pack the court the first time they get the chance.

Despite what the Dems and media tell you there is only one precedent, the Constitution. Trump and McConnell along with every senator swore an oath to uphold it.

Time for the executive to nominate and for the senate to advise and consent. Let the chips fall where they may after but their constitutional duties must be fulfilled.

no no no

the leftists set the rules (and they are the only rules you can win by) and most republicans, except Trump, refuse to play by them.

Yes all this "wait until after the election" or let the voters decide. NEws flash..they already did in 2016. This presidential term is not over, we get to decide now.

That will not happen. Not because of lassitude or incompetence, but rather d/t need for campaign time against opponents not tied to DC. However, the Senate should take up the nomination before then.
