when you’re being outnumbered by new settlers. We should learn from this history. The American Indians were unorganized in the defense of their borders. The European settlers did not come to assimilate, but to make their own customs and religion. When you don’t deport, you lose.

This isn't just a border issue. We are flying them in from all over the world in droves, so they have no need to assimilate. Just keep building up airports to bring more and more in.

The most interesting critique I've read on Santa Anna's ultimate failure was that he made strategic military decisions based on how it would make him look in the Mexican press.
