Your whining suggests you think restaurants don't pay a living wage.

Open a restaurant and pay the wage that you think is livable.

Does that idiot Bob really believe the government is better at deciding labor value than the free market? No wonder why he's poor.

Bob has zero credibility. He is a troll that tosses out infantile posts to get a rise. It is best not to engage him. I will follow my own advice going forward.

But all the "Fight for Fifteen" folks said that the businesses would either pass on the costs or just take less profit and that there would be no economic harm from this except, maybe, a little teency weency bit of inflation?

You're saying those fine folks don't understand a single fricking thing about real world economics?

Umpossible!

Wage increases in Seattle, San Francisco and Portland boosted the company’s wage expenses by a total of $10.6 million through its fiscal year end 2019, Bagley said. Revenue for the year ended May 31 was $176 million, down 1% from the prior year.

176 million in revenue and they cannot afford to pay their workers a minimum wage??

That’s not how it works.

That said, this is more reflective of the death of chain restaurants in addition to the min wage hike.
