I don't wear a mask and wanted to go early vote. I've said all along that if I go to a business that requires me to wear a mask I would comply and move on. I figure the business has a right to require it if they want to.

Today I stopped by the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse to early vote and was told I am required to wear a mask to enter the courthouse. This I kind of have a problem with because I believe it potentially impedes a person's right to vote. I complied but told the officer working the desk that I thought it was wrong. Thoughts on this?

What is the big deal about wearing a mask for ten minutes to go and vote?

Its racist voter suppression of POCs, next they'll want them to have an ID.

I think you’re being obtuse for the hell of it. You just don’t want to wear a mask. If they can’t provide one, though, you have an argument on impeding the right to vote. If YOU have one, just put it on.

Everybody acting like damn little girls about having to put on a mask. Sheeesh.

They need to supply masks. If not then I think you have a great point here

You are making an excellent case for mail in voting.

This. It's only a legit argument if they aren't providing masks at the door. If they are, just wear the damn thing for 10 minutes then toss it in the trash if you want to.

It's insane to me that wearing a mask has become a political fight among people.

Louisiana requires an ID. What's wrong with the mask now?

Masks aren’t free. You have to purchase a mask.

Sounds like a poll tax to me.

He wants to vote, but don’t want to wear a mask. Geaux to mail in voting and solve the problem. Case made. I am sure that many elderly people want to vote, but don’t want to go out in public to do it. Mail in voting solves that issue, also.

The elderly can vote absentee. In fact the ballots for current races have already been sent out.

So does voting absentee. So no need for "vote by mail". It already exist.
