People on this board constantly refer to Dems as “war mongers”, it’s factually true that it was R’e that pushed us into these bullshite wars. Look up the numbers

Which mainstream political issues is Liz Cheney out of lockstep with? Name the issues

Sure, she was elected by constituents in her state of WY to represent them. She did not do that. She after election had a duty to represent her state. The majority of the state saw she was not representing them and voted her out. You need to go read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for starters. Representatives are supposed to represent their constituents in DC. She abused that and the office.

And yes we left tons of equipment, that was for the Afghan army, they folded like a deck of cards, I mean, Trump had made a deal with the Taliban

What the new guy said above this post - Post Less or quit trolling.

At lease pick a topic that is more lopsided considering the multitude of D's that supported Iraq.

Maybe abortion and the indiscriminate killing of millions of minorities as Margaret Sanger and her progressive and NAZI friends espoused? That's what the D's are talking about now.

Did not have much of a problem with Afghanistan until the Afghan Papers came out and they were outright lying to us. They knew exactly what was going to happen, they knew the had less than marginal control and the Afghan forces as a whole would fold if challenged and the pols there were ripping us off.

I'm equal opportunity about it, I can't stand Bush, Cheney, Obama and Biden. They can all be Taliban boytoys for all I care. They were lied to, knew they were being lied to and then decided to lie to us .

I'm tired of that area of the world. We waste blood and treasure. Personally, we should make a deal with the Iranians and screw the Iraqis and Afghans as well as the Pakistanis . Tell them to take the oil in Iraq and liquidate the Taliban and leave Israel alone

Which Congress just sent over 50 billion of taxpayers money to help keep a war that we have ZERO to do with?!
Also who blocked a paltry 6 billion to finish the construction of a wall in our southern border……yep, same imbeciles

Bullfickingshit!!!

This is the 2nd time in two days I’ve had to roll up a newspaper paper and hit you across your nose, there won’t be a 3rd I’ll just rub your nose in shite.
A vast majority of Americans knew Iraq was a ruse, the exact same people that saw through Covid saw through W., Cheney, & Rumsfeld as well. It’s called critical, rational thinking. Everything spewed out by W.’s administration and the American MSM was in direct contradiction to what the rest of the world was saying.

quote:

Obsessed with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, the Bush administration misled the American public into believing that Iraq was connected to the Sept. 11 attacks,

Here’s a review by the Brookings Institute of the entire Iraqi regime change instigated by W.’s administration and the United States facing zero consequences for invading a sovereign nation.

quote:

On September 14, I was with Bush when he had his first phone call after 9/11 with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Bush immediately said he was planning to “hit” Iraq soon. Blair was audibly taken aback. He pressed Bush for evidence of Iraq’s connection to the 9/11 attack and to al-Qaida. Of course, there was none, which British intelligence knew.
On September 18, a week after 9/11, Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan came to the White House to see Bush. The meeting took place on the Truman Balcony. Vice President Richard Cheney and Rice were there as well. My notes says the president “clearly thinks Iraq must be behind this. His questions to Bandar show his bias.” Bandar was visibly perplexed. He told Bush that the Saudis had no evidence of any collaboration between Osama bin Laden and Iraq. Indeed their history was of being antagonists.

9/11 and Iraq: The making of a tragedy

You want to know why I get personal and pissed off, I and others like me lost good friends in Iraq for fricking nothing. Not during the rah, rah, Iraqi Freedom bullshite, but during the dirty dogs of war quagmire that was Bush’s legacy. I speak for them, since they were robbed of everything.

Most Democrats supported entering Iraq, by a WIDE margin.

Bro, chill out. I feel the same way as you do. Everyone did want to go there. People were fooled into supporting it.

As much as conservatives bitch about “revisionist history”, they play the same game and try to act like Dems are the war mongers. It wasn’t until Trump spoke out against these wars that R’s completely changed their tune. It was Republicans like Bush and Cheney that got us into these conflicts erroneously.

They were in the White House and set the agenda, so yeah. But every damn Dem save one or very few followed along.

Said it then and will say it now, Saudi Arabia should have been a plate of glass post 911 with oil wells on the edges

It wasn’t just one, many Dems opposed the war. No republicans did.

For many years despite evidence to the contrary the “right” “conservative” posters continues to argue weapons of mass destruction were found to justify the invasion. But things change.

It wasn’t just Republicans.

Republicans were calling for these wars to end way before Trump. See Ron Paul's crowd support in the 2012 primary debates. He had some of the biggest reactions of any Republican when he called out the GOPe for the warmongering.
