Very possible, but that would be a very targeted voter registration effort to only find 18 and 19 year olds to fill the registry with.

Is this the only reason a form gets rejected? Many could have been missing necessary information.

If all this is true, it's pretty f-ed up, however, I think I need to get more info.

The only issue I have with voter id is that it costs money for someone to get one

i doubt it would be that hard, young people gather together. Hit a few concerts/festivals/schools and boom you have a lot of registrations.

If it were that easy, it would happen every year and we would see this same voter fraud allegation year after year. Otherwise if this sort of registration activity did happen every year without a problem, that would point to this year being the anomaly and potentially more to the story than what is being alleged.

They need one for welfare. If youre too poor for an ID, are you too poor for welfare?

I mean maybe, but I feel confident voter drives routinely sign up 80K new voters.

looks like KY signed up 40k voters since march, and kY is a lot smaller than GA.
LINK

In LA, they have 35k more voters in the last two months.
LINK

80k in a much larger state is quite believeable.

The definition of poor in this country is different than a couple generations ago. Even the poor can scrape together a few bucks to get an ID. Those that say they can't simply don't want to.

That new food stamp card allows them to buy just about anything, why not an ID?

I don't doubt it. I know voter registration efforts happen all the time, but that's kind of my point. If it does happen all the time and this is the only time there has been problems with getting the registrations validated, then it would seem to be the exception rather than the rule, and therefore deserves more investigation. Just not enough information for me to say one way or the other whether or not actual fraud has taken place, but when fraud is in question, I tend to be biased against democrats.

well this would be voter suppression, and its much more common than voter fraud. Much harder to detect.

As something as simple as giving the wrong voting day (2012) is just scummy tactics by one side to win.

Republican Voter Fraud

quote:

Lawyers for Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp and three counties who are also the target of the suit countered that state law sets no deadlines for processing voter registrations, and emphasized that any voter unsure of their registration status can always cast a provisional ballot. Those who do so must return within three days to present additional documentation or otherwise cure any problem with the system. But the NAACP and New Georgia Project called this remedy “unacceptable.”

That's because people will have to make extra effort. They don't like for their constituents to have to lift a finger.

Both fraud and suppression are wrong, but it's a lot easier to allege suppression without concrete evidence, which is why I don't want to jump to conclusions.

In the case of voting machines literally changing one vote to another, there is tangible evidence to support it, even if it is supposedly a glitch or "calibration error". Voter suppression is an oft-used tactic, even when it doesn't exist except in the minds of those who are making the accusation, which is why I'm assuming it's a BS charge but not ruling it out completely. Anything's possible, after all.
