Combine this with ending birth right citizenship and could get on board.

Mass arrests and deportation just aren’t going to happen.

Look. This needs to happen.
You can’t deport 12 mil people.
Pass this, charge back taxes, make them take a civics/citizenship test/ and enforce border control/immigration policy.

I would agree with your post under a couple of conditions....if you allow these illegals legal status and eventually citizenship they would be limited in their voting rights.....only local and state elections and the passage of a National Voter ID law to prevent the Dims from committing mass voter fraud in national elections.

Senate Republicans looking to repeat 1986 amnesty

When this was done, it was promised to be the last time an amnesty will be granted. It was also promised that from now on all immigrant laws will be strictly inforced.

It was bs then, it is bs now.

(ie. affirmative action was also promised to be a temporary program in the 1960's)

Or maybe give them a green card for seasonal work.

Not saying Graham isn't a POS but that article calls Tillis a liberal. He very well may be a liberal but the article seems like a campaign thing to nudge out Tillis.

Can this be found on another site?

Don’t know. Horowitz was on Levin’s show and they gave the article link for the listeners.

Maybe but I think he’d lose more votes than he gained. Who knows.

Trump will easily lose more votes than he gains if he’s duped by the Swamp Repubes.

This bill contains provisions related to alien farmworkers, including provisions establishing a certified agricultural worker (CAW) status and changing the H-2A temporary worker program.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) may grant CAW status to an applying alien who (1) performed at least 1,035 hours of agricultural labor during the two-year period prior to October 30, 2019, (2) was inadmissible or deportable on that date, and (3) has been continuously present in the United States from that date until receiving CAW status.

The bill imposes additional crime-related inadmissibility grounds on CAW applicants and makes some other grounds inapplicable.

CAW status shall be valid for 5.5 years and may be extended. DHS may grant dependent status to the spouse or children of a principal alien.

An alien with a pending application may not be detained or removed by DHS and shall be authorized for employment until DHS makes a final decision on the application.

A CAW alien (and dependents) may apply for lawful permanent resident status after meeting various requirements, including performing a certain amount of agricultural labor for a number of years.

DHS shall create an electronic platform for (1) filing H-2A petitions, (2) facilitating the processing of H-2A cases, and (3) providing agencies a single tool for obtaining H-2A-related case information.

The bill makes various changes to the H-2A program, such as (1) modifying the method for calculating and making adjustments to the H-2A worker minimum wage, (2) specifying how an employer may satisfy requirements that it attempted to recruit U.S. workers, (3) requiring H-2A employers to guarantee certain minimum work hours, and (4) making the program available for year-round agricultural work and reserving a visa allocation for the dairy industry.

DHS shall establish a pilot program allowing certain H-2A workers to apply for portable status, which gives the worker 60 days after leaving a position to secure new employment with a registered H-2A employer.

DHS shall establish an electronic system patterned on the E-Verify Program for employers to verify an individual's identity and employment authorization. Employers hiring individuals for agricultural employment must use the system.

This bill permanently establishes the Housing Preservation and Revitalization Program, which provides financing assistance for rural rental housing and off-farm labor housing and rental assistance for qualified tenants of such housing. It also authorizes the Department of Agriculture to provide various assistance, including funding for insuring loans and grants for new farmworker housing.

Trump has said he wasn’t going to touch the 12 million or so illegals.

Now I’m concerned with what else is in this legislation. They get to stay but what type of hard line laws does Trump and the base get in return.

Why not? And it's more likely 24 million.

That's what they said in 1986 as well.

Immigration needs a hardline stance with no give.

As conservatives we could demand some conditions that would make this latest amnesty BS palpable but the Swamp Skunks would never agree to them because it would end illegal immigration once and for all.

What makes you think this is a blanket amnesty?

You have already admitted that you don’t know what’s in the legislation...

It's 30+ million.

No.

Let's START with this.

And you don't have to forcibly remove illegals.

End all public assistance. End education in Spanish. Aggressively pursue all those who employ, house, clothe, shelter and harbor them. Perp walk some of the more prominent CEOs/COOs of companies who employ them in front of waiting cameras, Roger Stone-style.

End the goodies, the freebies, the "get on U.S. soil" sweepstakes and they will go back where they belong on their own.

This isn't complicated. It's just difficult and requires persistence and dedication.

That said, how many can we deport? What is your ballpark estimation and time frame?

Because picking and choosing would immediately be deemed racist. We have situations everyday where an illegal who has committed an awful crime will be let free because otherwise they’d have to go back to their home country. Which then allows them to do what they do best. Commit more crime.
