If tweet fails to load, click here. Remember when Democrats also voted in favor of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996? Pressley must not have. Work requirements are not new, even though the Obama administration tried their best to eliminate them.

Look at that, Joe Scarborough voted yes on the bill. Remember when he had testicles and a spine, those were good times.

Elderly and severely disabled aren't going to be required to work.
Quite a few people are already working full time jobs and use ebt to help.
The only ones bitching about the work requirement are the healthy single moms who are on the welfare career path, who have never worked.

He’s been paying off a murder, so he understands a work requirement

There is a pattern here and pretty sure you can all guess what said pattern is.

Folks should have to pass frequent drug test also. I have to pass frequent drug test to stay employed and pay for their free shite, recipients should have to do the same.

If I were running that show I'd give 90 days to anybody that asked. But Day 91 you better have one hell of a reason why you haven't found a damn job.
And I would drastically cut the per kid bonuses. It doesn't take $1200/month to feed five kids

I have a couple of them I keep around for entertainment purposes. They can be hard to find, especially those that won't blow my cover.

Your cover can't be at the top of your "to be blown" list.

I had to do 48 hours “community service “ when I got my dui several years ago. Worked my arse off clearing brush in a park, then switched to being a bitch for goodwill for the last 32 hrs. 5 hours community service for a weeks food seems overly charitable, and they bitch about that?

I have no issue with feeding kids. It’s one of the few federal functions that I support. In fact, I strongly question the morality of anyone who is pro life and anti food stamps for children because you are mandating children be born even if the parents aren’t in a financial position to provide for them which isn’t fair absent help to the unborn child.
But setting that aside I agree that the food for children should be regulated with regard to what they can receive and absolutely non transferable for parents to redirect for other goods.

The entire welfare/food stamp thing needs to be revamped. Drug testing, job training, and helping folks find jobs should be the focus. The generational welfare families should not be allowed to exist.
